I saw today that it was cheaper at first i was annoyed, but then again it does mean the xbox community will get better making online a lot more fun if more people are buying it. plus I've had my xbox one on everyday since i brought it so I've defo got my
moneys worth

So Early Xbox One Adopters like myself in North America gets *** over AGAIN regarding a free game. Killer Instinct is not a free game. Its a Demo that can be unlocked if you pay money. UK got Fifa 14 and now those that waited to get an Xbox One can get TitanFall
as a free game?? Don't get me wrong this is fantastic news for Xbox and those that will be getting a new system but what about me and the many other Day One people that just got the system?

Also it was announced today that in the UK The Xbox One will be 399 as of Feb 28...

Early Xbox One adopters got to PLAY IT before everyone else, who either waited or decided PS4.

The price of XBOX One in the UK being 399 pounds is like 600 US Dollars.

They got FIFA 14 because they waited for a bundle.

The Titanfall xbox one bundle owners got Titanfall. I'm sure everyone was like this when the bundle I got for my 3DS (Flame Red Super Mario 3D Land bundle) made a bunch of Nintendo 3ds fans mad. But, they GOT TO PLAY IT BEFORE PEOPLE WHO WAITED/DECIDED ON
PS4.

Thank you all for posting. I have been with Xbox since...well, the Xbox. Being an early adopter shows my loyalty to MS. But when they start doing price drops and free games 3 months later to get new people it's only right to do something for their loyal
fan base.

Regardless of l"Lessons Learned" or " you choose to buy it early" or whatever useless point is being thrown out here it's extremely important to be loyal to your loyal fans. I love my Xbox one. It's amazing. I play it all the time. But I paid allot for this
console and games and I think MS should "Give Back" to early adopters.

Now for those that are doing the $ Conversion between countries....it's a moot point.

 

I'm always a big fan of throwing out logic & common sense to people who create these threads and the retort is "whatever useless point is being thrown out". Brilliant. You want loyalty? Get a dog.

 

For the love of pete, you could have easily waited until a more attractive Xbox One "package" became available to you before pulling the trigger on the purchase. If you have been a customer since the original xbox, you would have known that MS has done
things like this since they got into the console space. ANY company out there does this. Companies do this all the time. Make various bundles, add extra incentives, buy one get one free, etc. to get you to buy their products. This is no different.

MS does have things for loyal customers. The rewards program is one of them. Some people have knocked it but because of the program I have gotten free dlc and games from it.

No backwards compatibility with Xbox 360, ok, I get that, but at least make some of your best-selling games like Halo and Fallout available in Xbox One. This has to be one of the poorest new system releases I have ever had the misfortune to be part of.
I mean really, 3 months until a new game release? The lack luster games that are available for such a new system, in my opinion, makes the Xbox One a very nice looking and EXPENSIVE paper weight. Microsoft should have had a stable of games ready for the
new release even if they were revamped titles, but again the need for profit overrode common sense. I would have had no problem going out and buying Xbox One versions of my favorite games.

I've had the system since December, but didn't get to use it until I returned from my deployment which was far too late to return the system for a refund. Well as they say live and learn, this won't be the first albatross I've been stuck with and it won't
be the last. At least I've still got my 360 for games and online activities like Crunchyroll. Maybe I can resell this thing on Amazon to some poor unsuspecting sot that wants the latest and greatest (yes, that is sarcasm) and recoup some of my money and
buy an updated 360 on which everything works and has games that I actually want to play. Frankly all I use the Xbox One for is watching video and Blu-ray and not much of that because of the limited number of available apps (Crunchyroll doesn't work on Xbox
One).

Had I known what I was getting I would never have spent the $500 and waited for something better or just upgraded my 360.

Again a very poorly thought out and executed roll out of what should be a premier gaming system!

 

I'm guessing the OP must be about 16 and obviously doesn't know how electronics work.. Most all electronics go down in price within the first year. The 360 is a bit ahead of the game since sales are suffering, but either way it's still common practice.
It should be pretty common knowledge though... If you want a better deal, don't buy it on release day. If you want access to the latest thing, then you're going to pay extra.

When I pre-ordered my PS4, I knew without a doubt that there would be better deals in the not-too-distant future. It was still worth it to me though to have my next gen console sooner rather than later. You won't see me complaining when the PS4 comes out
with a Second Son bundle though.

 

Self-entitlement much? You decided to go ahead and purchase the Xbox One on day one, that is YOUR choice. Not everybody chose to wait, some had to wait. Financial issues might have set people back last year with the release being so close to Christmas,
some just couldn't reserve the item quick enough and missed out. The UK were given a free game with their console due to the price difference, you pay a hell of a lot less for your console compared to us in the UK. It gave people in the UK more of an incentive
to purchase the console, essentially a deal sweetener and it made plenty of people happy. You have the privilege of owning the day one edition of the console along with your controller which says 'Day One 2013' on it, you have the special achievement that
only Day One owners can redeem, you have also been able to enjoy gaming on the new console for at least three months. In those three months, surely you've saved up enough money to just buy the game rather than whining about it like a child?

 

Ya gotta love todays generation, they think they are special, think they are above everyone else and think they are self entitled to everything. Guess what! the world doesn't work that way.

You want special treatment from Microsoft a corporation? Last time I checked they only care about one thing.. Can you guess what? Loyalty does not exist in the corporate world.. Only profit and sales..

 

That's life man, you can't expect to get everything. Bundles often come out with free games, did it last gen and the gen before that and so on.

 

I agree...it's kind of embarrassing. I'm glad the UK is getting some great deals. They deserve them for paying as much as they did.

 

So people at first complained that the console cost too much, then MS announces a price drop and people complain...yeah that makes sense.

 

This is why you don't buy consoles at launch. Ever.
