Hello Xbox. This morning, I went to use my xbox, and noticed changes to the dashboard UI that I didn't particularly like. The old UI felt simple and nice. Which this update changed.

I ask the simple question: why try to fix what isn't broken? The response from the Xbox official discord server was that people wanted a change in the UI so that people could see their background on their dashboard. While I am unsure that this is the official reason as to why it was changed in the insider program but that was the answer I recieved. I feel that this change is unnecessary.

I also question the point of seeing the background if the point of the dashboard is to get you into a game or app. To quote another player: "Don't you got games to play? Like, why do we have an issue with the old UI in the first place?" The dashboard isn't that important. I understand that a UI is supposed to look neat and cool. But I feel like it was pointless, as I feel that most people didn't care enough to make a change. If the UI was such a problem, why not have the ability to customise the UI, or allow a user to switch between the old UI and this new UI, or better yet: Resize the app Icons.

On the other problem. There are 5 buttons at the top which direct you to apps and places. However the guide already did this, and so did the dashboard. So why do this?

I also do not like how gamepass is integrated into the dashboard more than it previously was. I personally think it's odd how hard you guys push gamepass onto the dashboard.

Some might think I'm silly for complaining about something so small. But that's why I'm complaining. It's too small to complain about so why is it big enough to change?

I know that this is something that will likely not change any time soon. But hopefully some people agree with me, and maybe this will be changed.

What have you people done to Netflix?

The new Netflix update is beautiful and this new UI was created by Netflix not Microsoft. They wanted to unify the TV UI across many different devices. This new Netflix UI can be found on both Xbox 360 and PS3 for example and looks exactly the same on both
    consoles.

Unfortunately Xbox isn't like pc when it comes to visual customizations where you can move stuff around...however there's a new update to the UI that the insiders are using that changes some things for the better in terms of the clutter from preview pics
    I've seen.

looking forward to these new updates. Hoping for a new UI design when the new xbox is released more tidy and unique UI would be nice to have.
