    A grey strip on the screen??


    Hey guys!

    okay, basically, ever since the newest update on Minecraft for Xbox One (the update with the new glass panes and doors etc)

    There's been.... Some kind of grey strip across the screen? It's definitely NOT the Xbox, because it only does it while I'm actually playing- not the the Xbox home screen, nor when I'm flicking through my minecraft settings. It's LITERALLY just while I'm
    playing, and it's really bloody annoying...

    anyone else had this by any chance?? know how to get rid of it??

    Grey stripes on black spots in some games.

    Hi.

    I've noticed that when blacks are on screen it appears grey vertical stipes seen on the black spots only. If we look closer it appears as very thin lines that combine and look like vertical lines. That small lines are horizontal and vertical.

    It happens only on games with resolutions between 720p and 1080p, like 912p.

    Examples are metro 2033, metro last light, titanfall, thief.

    It very easy to spot the issue on metro 2033 gamma configuration screen.

    The issue disappears if i set the tv resolution to 720p or change the console color to pc RGB.

    Notice that my tv has limited gamma, and not full RGB. If i go to hdtv calibration and using pc rgb, the closed eye does not appear.

    The issue happens on my two tvs and my computer monitor. One tv is samsung lcd and the other is an lg lcd. The monitor is a lg lcd.

    Maybe they are an upscale artifact.

    The same issue does not happen on ps4, that has a similar gpu, so i believe that is an driver issue or some problem with the hardware upscaler.

    I can sent photos of the issue if necessary.

    And i've already tried with 2 more hdmi cables and have reseted the console, pressing the power button for 10 seconds and disconecting the psu for more 10 seconds(a little more, in reality). I'll not try the factory reset because i really doubt it will solve
    the issue...

    The issue is reduced (almost invisible) with led backlighting at medium levels, but with backlighting at maximum, it very noticeble.

    YES, my son peeled off the strip and the entire code came with it. I cannot scratch anything off, and cannot use a light box to see through the grey to the numbers....

    Have you tried this at all?

    To restart your Xbox One with a hard reset, hold down the console's power button for 10 seconds while the system is on. The console will enter a full reboot cycle, and the Home menu should display once it loads.
