A Good Old Headset debate....

Righteo, I'm looking at getting a new set of headphones as the X11s are getting a little long in the tooth.

I've been eyeing up either the Turtle Beach XO sevens, XO fours or the titanfall Atlas (Cant seem to find the polk 4 shots in the UK and i dont need another set of Astros).

Does anyone have any of the above that they can share opinions on?

Best headset under $150?

The TB DX12 is what I'm currently using and it's an OKAY headset. I don't feel ripped-off or anything but the sound quality isn't nearly as good as my old Tritton AX 720 headset. Sadly they've done away with the old Tritton AX 720 headset and updated it
for 2012 and the quality has gotten worse. For under $150 you're limited in options but the TB DX12 is a decent choice. I've also heard good things about the Sharkoon Xtatic 5.1 headset.

hmmm, tis a toughie as i do hold the 11s dear to ones heart but i think its time for something new, looking ever more likely that it'll be the XO Sevens

 

Do you think there will been Accessory announcements at E3? if so it might be worth waiting.

I use and will recommend the TB X42 wireless headset. It's absolutely great and am wearing them at this very moment.

Both the X41 and X42 are great wireless headsets.

 

I have the X07's and they are really nice, not sure if there is a sound difference between those and the X04's/titanfall set (both the same) but the build quality is why I got them, much higher build quality. My friends say my voice quality is very good,
and much better then they have heard before.

 

I have the titanfall headsets. I love them they are the same as xo's wireless to he Xbox you just have to plug it into the controller with included adapter. The difference is they come with the long cord to plug into your TV or 360 or PC. I like this so
I can watch TV at night and not wake up the wife.

 

I have the XO 7 an love them.

 

I recently picked up a set of Turtle Beach XP51s from Amazon as they were on a Lighting Deal here in the US (also had to get a headset adapter as it does not come with one). They seem nice to far. The only issue as that the headset adapter also sends the
game sound to the headset, in addition to the TB transmitter sending, as so far I haven't found a way to totally disable the game sound coming fro the headset adapter. You can adjust the chat-to-game sound balance, but there is no eliminating the game sound
completely.

Most of the time this isn't too much of an issue, however, when the action gets hectic in Titanfall I do start to heard sound echoes and it can get a little overwhelming. I hope MS releases an update that allows you to totally turn off the game sound if
you choose to do so.

While they are nice I fear they will be going back until MS releases a fix for this, so this is more of warning than a recommendation lol

 

DeZiRe, that sig is true and will likely be true for a long time to come lol. Some good answers in here, going to bookmark it. I played with biz using the X11's and they were a bit of a problem so it looks like I will have to get a new pair soon.
