    A good bluetooth adapter?


    So I bought the bluetooth Xbox One S controller and have it connected to my desktop via an Insignia bluetooth adapter. I only get about 5 feet of range AND it has to be direct line of site. So I can't even plug it in the back of my computer.

    Does anyone have better luck with a different adapter? I can't even play with my controller above my desk since my computer is under my desk. I have to sit back a couple feet just so I have line of sight.

    A pairing code is the code a bluetooth devices uses to connect to another bluetooth device.

    Can we please get USB headset support on Xbox?

    It is a good idea to support USB headsets. As for bluetooth, the console does not have a bluetooth adapter, so it can not support it.

    What Bluetooth version is supported by your Bluetooth adapter?

    Make sure the drivers for your Bluetooth adapter is up-to-date.

    the xbox already uses bluetooth, the controls use exactly this technology, but in order to avoid problems and conflicts, the other devices do not use the same resource.
    No Xbox console has ever used Bluetooth. The controllers only use Bluetooth to connect to PCs or Bluetooth adapters. The consoles themselves do not have Bluetooth.

    adapter lets you connect and should stay connected if you use USB and then go back to the adapter.
    Thank you, this is important info, so xbox wireless controller adapter doesn't have this problem.

    I do, but any other device can not be connected through USB, so I can not test this specific problem.

    I have this bluetooth dongle now, Atheros AR3011, it is bluetooth 3.0.

    Do you have any other bluetooth dongles at hand, eg bluetooth 4.0, 4.1, ... to test this problem?

    I don't have any other bluetooth dongles at hand.

    Would be good to test this problem with other bluetooth dongles, if it is general problem or if this problem exist only with specific bluetooth dongles, eg lower bluetooth protocol versions.
