A game I own says I need to buy it again

I preordered hogwarts legacy digital deluxe edition on the xbox one in January 2023 it is now may 14, 2023 the and the game is fully released.

I began playing the xbox one version of the game on may 6 there have not been any issues until today when I went to boot it up and was met with a screen saying "to play this you'll need to but it"

The xbox one version of the game is still installed along with all add ons, my order history on my xbox and on Microsoft both say that the pre order is complete and has not been refunded. I see no reason why it should not be working and have tried everything I could think of and everything I could find on the internet but nomatter what I do it still says that I have to buy it. Please help

Since you have purchased the game Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition, indeed you should be able to access the game on Xbox One console with no problem.

You will need to perform some basic troubleshooting steps in order to fix this. Please remove your Microsoft account (Where the game Hogwarts Legacy was purchased) from your Xbox One console > restart your console > re-add your Microsoft account > then check to see if it works here's how to remove your account:

1.Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

2.Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3.Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

> then restart your console and proceed with re-adding your Microsoft account. You've got nothing to worry as this will not delete your saved data progress.

Then check if you can launch the game Hogwarts Legacy: Xbox One version on your Xbox One console.

Well what you are doing is a violation of thw termsa of use

ONE if it was downloaded then you dont own it

Because it is owned by the owner of the account which is the person who set it up

Accounts cant be transfered

And im guessing he took back his account and assigned his console as his home console

And hasnt changed the password

If I werr you delete it because anything you do on his account is a violation of the terms of use

You need to ask your brother and tell him to check his order history as well and check if the game transaction is visible under his account. Kindly ask him so we can proceed with the next step.

I just did that it shows I bought something from that game but it doesn't show I bought the game. I don't know if that will help.
