A free Digi copy of Sunset Overdrive....surely not?

I demand to be compensated for the 9/10ths of a penny that the 3 hours of downtime has cost me. A free copy of Sunset Overdrive should do it.

You see ProjectAlice, I considered contacting M$ then thought against it because it's very rare you actually get a freebie off them and they've had a few quid off me over the years. I also thought about how they charged me £28 for The Golf Club which is
worth no more than £10 and the £8 I spent on Pure Pool today which I'm sure I bought on the 360 lol! We could also mention the buggy, glitchy, half-ar*ed games they allow third party publishers/developers to release on a regular basis. So no, I won't contact
them because I've down nothing wrong. It's just a shame it wasn't AC Unity or Far Cry 4 they gave me!!!

There is such a thing as theft by finding but that's hardly applicable here. You could always play it rinse it then report it and they can suck it outta your console! As for you Boas your just OG man taking that tenner and not handing it in to Bridewell!

well i think the honest thing to do is contact microsoft, I have spent hundreds of pounds on stuff from the marketplace but if i downloaded something then find something else downloaded that i didnt pay for i would contact microsoft

Alice is right. You really should contact Microsoft and let them know what's happened.

If you found a tenner on the floor you'd pick it up and think "lucky me".

But if you found a mobile phone and decided to be dishonest and help yourself to it you could use it happily for years and then trade it in a year down the line and find the police knocking on your door if the IMEI had been reported stolen.

As it stands now mentioning it on the Forums doesn't help your case. You look like those kids who come on here and announce "I joined a BLOPS Lobby and suddenly my guy started flying, I had infinite ammo and I've now Prestiged 20 times... I'm not gonna
get a ban am I"?

I suspect MS will probably be more interested in how this happened than taking anything off you.

 

If I found a tenner on the floor I would keep it.

I've found a brand new iPhone before now and got it back to its owner.

If I found a wallet/purse on the floor I'd hand it in to the police.

I have followed somebody into the car park of a supermarket to hand them a tenner which they'd left in the self service checkout.

I also give my Metro day ticket to someone once I've done with it rather than bin it, just something I do.

In all honesty I can't be bothered contacting M$ to tell them of their mistake. If it bothers you so much you do it...I couldn't care less!

As for comparing me to a kid who has joined a hacked lobby, well that's just silly. I posted because I really wanted someone else to tell me I wasn't the only one to get the game for free. I haven't anything to hide therefore I don't have a problem 'drawing
attention to myself' on an official forum. Its just a shame you're relying on a target audience of about 20 gamers every time you post.

This sort of thing has happened before with Fable II. Then people got the whole game instead of just the 'episode 1'.

Microsoft didn't remove or disable the game but once deleted you were unable to download it again.

 

Sorry it is not my fault you are not doing the right thing, if you didn't want people to reply why bother to post about it. Also not our fault some of us have been brought up to do the right thing not like you

 

In a best case scenario MS simply debit you for the game.

In a worst case scenario you get done for Marketplace Fraud, lose your account and have to earn that 133K gamerscore all over again under a different tag.
