A Few Things We Want In The U.I Update

I do not know if any of these things are in the process of being done, but I looked far and wide and could not find a entire list for the things that are being done in the U.I update.

1. Get rid of the stupid way the Friends List works, who in their right mind thought this twitter like follower based friends list was a good Idea? I would rather have the exact same 100 friends only friends list from the 360. This follower based list is
absolutely terrible. I hate having to tell people to add me back

2. Can we please have it to where we can send mass messages to Recent players? Do you know how hard it is to get any kind of custom game party going without that capability, and when no-one else is online you're stuck playing by yourself. The thing I remember
most about halo 3 (my favorite game) was that everyday I would get customs going with people. All I have to do was send out a mass message. But I can't do that now.

3, Please make it where we can have the voice chat coming through the speakers and the headset at the same time. That is a thing alot of competitive players want. We don't like being forced to have to buy extra equipment.

4, I've seen this part of the update, Why don't we just have the notifications and messages in the same exact thing like the 360? It worked so well for years and it just gets changed.

5, The recent players list barely works anyways, half the time people I played with don;t even show up in it.

It seems like you guys were just like "lets take out everything that makes sense" This U.I is absolute garbage and t's like you guys just don't even care.

On a side note, I'm so tired of my console being turned off when the cord from my controller brushes against that stupid little touch button. I swear it's like you guys didn't playtest the xbox one at all.

I'm so glad they got rid of mass messaging. 95% of the people you send those messages to, don't want them, and get annoyed by the fact that they receive them.

Friends list is fine, personally I prefer it, no thanks to mass messaging. Voice chat through speakers? Again no thanks. As for the cord that's your problem not the consoles. Overall if you want a 360 then play one.

From going back and forth from the 360 to the X1, hands down the X1 is where's it's at. Smooth flow, easy access pins, great. The 360's dashboard is so.... 360.... imagine that....

 

A few things we/i DON'T want in the next U.I. update: Everything the op listed,especially the whole "mass messaging " thing.

Fired up the 360 a couple of days ago & it does feel a bit outdated now,especially the U.I.,it's soooo slow.

 

I'm with Genchy, i actually like how friends and followers works.

 

I like every thing as is just hope for better pad use with new dash this dash is definitely ment to have kinect

 

Post it on the feedback website, but I'm fine with how the UI is, no issues with how the friends list works, I don't want to see spam messaging come back unless there is an option to ignore spam messages from anyone not on your friends list. And not even
sure what you're talking about with the cable brushing a button and the Xbox turns off, makes no since, unless I'm reading it wrong...

 

Have Friends and Followers on two separate lists. Learn how to display Dashboard Notifications from Xbox 360 (big fat Windows 8 box which only displays on the bottom centre screen gets in the way). Free our Xbox Avatars instead of being locked up in the
"Avatar app" Xbox 360 shows them in the social and party sections. And speed up UI performance, it's running on a console with an 8 core processor and 8GB RAM, although it has improved compared to what it was like at Launch. Roll out a Chat Pad instead of
having to use a phone or U-S-B keyboard. I agree with Point 3 too, Xbox 360 does this. Well Xbox 1 isn't Xbox 360, it is "Xbox" and both generations use Xbox Live, the only official service for Xbox consoles. Microsoft knows they get tonnes of Feedback on
Xbox 1 and have been pressured to return missing features like Voice Messaging and Change The Dashboard Background, features which Xbox 360 has.

 

There are those of us who've played both on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1, who appreciate what a fun time it has been on Xbox 360. This ^^^

Microsoft knows many people have criticized Xbox 1 on the condition of what it was like at Launch. That's why they created an official feedback site. And know it's a better console. You can change in your Privacy Settings who you receive messages from over
Xbox Live, you can set it to Everyone, Friends Only, or None. You can also Block Communications if you think someone is spamming you. Xbox is for Young People, not just Old People. Some of us appreciate the ease of sending mass messages/M2AF which Xbox 360's
Dashboard offers. No doubt many people may struggle with only 100 friends on Xbox 360 I too have a full friends list. But I feel there should be better differentiation and room for improvement, when it comes to Xbox Friends and Xbox Followers. The only way
to know if you have followers is to log onto this site or Xbox 1 smartglass. Xbox 360's Dashboard and Xbox 360 Smartglass won't tell you if you have any followers. Some people create separate profiles, one which they only use for Xbox 360, and the other for
use only on Xbox 1.

i think im with the majority here... most of the stuff listed no one wants.

mass messaging is horrible and ive already blocked people for doing it

 

Please don't lump me in this 'we' brush you're painting on, OP.

The ONLY thing I agree with him is #3 - recording what goes on in game chat is something I see myself using from time to time.

 

He doesn't mention "recording" it just having it come out the speakers and the headset.
