A different xbox 360 disc tray issue

My original xbox 360 disc tray opens too fast, and when it tries to close, it goes in about a millimeter, then tries to read. I have to push it in fast, but not to far in. I have checked the support, AND the fourms, and not surprisingly, (to me, because
whenever I do something, NOBODY ELSE EVER DID IT) nobody had ever had this problem

My disc tray won't open; have tried many things...

Seems like to me the disc tray is stuck or the button has malfunctioned. There is a way to eject the tray in case you get a disc stuck in the system. Here is the links below on how to do it.

XBOX 360 disc tray keeps jamming

So my 360's tray keeps jamming...
The 360 it's self is fine but trying to open the disc tray sometimes is a real chore.

And yes the PS3 is a recent addition and the consoles were never on top of each other, which should never be an issue as the 360 had a metal case inside protecting it.

 

Sounds like the tray mechanism is probably dying which would be why it will not open or close properly. You may need to either send the console in for repairs or purchase a new one.
