A Console Name Theory

tldr: The next Xbox console will be called Xbox ii.

This post is ment to bring a smile to everyone that read this post, and in best case senario let me win a xbox console.

I was thinking about the names of the xbox consoles and like lightning from clear sky did it hit me.

Xbox, the first console. On wikipage it says "The name Xbox was derived from a contraction of DirectX Box, a reference to Microsoft's graphics API". Cool name, nothing more to think about here.

Xbox 360. And here the theory starts. First off i will give credit to the nameing team to make this something other then Xbox2. Xbox to Xbox 360, what did happend here. Are they doing a sort of sin/cos nameing system. Xbox, Xbox360,Xbox720. cool cool atlest
it is someting new.

Xbox One. Now every alarm inn the body starts. This is not 720. What is happning here! Now we are starting to getting real confused about what the names of the next Xbox will be. I think that the Xbox one X is a upgraded Xbox one and not a new console and is
just ment to trow off away from the breaking the nameing code.

But here it goes.

The next Xbox name will be [ii], wait, what? Let me tell you why. Xbox the first console is the base name, what the brand is made out of. Xbox 360, 360 is a circel and that will be a o or 0. so insted of starting with renameing the first Xbox to xbox1 like
PS needed to do (you cant just say that you own a PS anymore, it is renamed to PS1). The smart people in the Xbox team called it Xbox 0 or 360. This makes it like a Xbox is still the first Xbox and Xbox 360 is the 2nd. And starting with 0 is something alot
of mathmatician do when makeing a formula for something, in xbox case it is a nameing formula.

Xbox one, this is the next number after 360 or 0. And here you see that insted of useing degrees to name the 3rd Xbox as they did on the 2nd they did use a word. The word One.

And following this logic the the next Xbox will be named something that can be shown as 2. And what better way to do it as the Roman numeral 2 or II/ii.

Hope that breaking the code of how xbox is nameing there consoles will win me a new console insted of makeing me show up in a dark ally.

Name an Achievement

Honestly, I do because I don't believe the absence of Grove Street can lead to the absence of a whole street if its name is actually Grove Street. It is just a street; it doesn't rely on the presence of a gang to retain its name. If anything, the gane is
named after the street. According to the "Universe Theory", it also is not a main character but a brand or name brand, which can exist in the GTA universe according to the "Universe Theory".

 

Interesting read but I don't see a new console in it for you.

 

Interesting concept for a name. The use of Roman numerals would be pretty cool.

Im torn. Part of me thinks they’ll stick with Xbox One with a different letter after it. Another part thinks they may change it drastically to get away from the not very well taken launch.

 

I am personally hoping for Xbox Infinity (The Symbol, not the word) That way we can stay with the circular theme, but make it much more.

 

That is another way they can make the number two too, two circles. I like that idea too.

It's a good theory...but i know that the Xbox One originally was Xbox Infinity...then someone has spoiled the name and Ms has to change it...atleast i've read a bunch of articles 5/6 years ago about this

 

That was most likely just to throw us away from the real masterplan. Someone "spoiled" it

 

I would just call it "Xbox" and nothing else.
