A Connection issue driving me nuts

Hi, and deepest thanks to any who can help.

This issue with an XBOX S.

    The situation:
The console is connected to the internet through wired connection. The network testing results in "It's all good". Also, there is clearly a good connection since I can go to "my apps" open Edge browser there and surf the web as I please. Also, I just updated Fortnite and it downloaded the 1.3GB in good time.

    BUT

Whenever I try to launch a game or an app other than Edge or the Microsoft store, I get the "Check your network" message, asking the I test the connection (which as I mentioned, turns out fine). It ends with err code 0x80072ee2.

I've tried everything including moving to different networks, wired and wireless and resetting the console altogether (keeping apps and games). I've contacted support which tried a bunch of things as manually entering the IP details, clearing alternate Mac address, manually entering new DNS servers. Nothing worked. They suggested vaguely that I try playing with portforwarding. That's a bit tricky in my setting, haven't tried so far but honestly I doubt it will work.

A potentially important piece of information until recently the setting was such that the XBox was connected to a Mi android TV Box. I removed that (needed elsewhere, not available anymore) and connected the XBox S as mentioned with an ethernet cable (but also tried wireless, all with the same frustrating results).

S/he who solves this is my kids' saint.

    Thanks,

    Roy

    :)

    Hello RoyPeled,

Thank you for getting back with the thread.

It seems that after downloading the app, it cannot be found in the library or under your games and apps. This could be caused by various factors, such as the app settings, the storage device, or a bug in the system. Here are some possible solutions that you can try:

Check the app settings and make sure that the app is visible in your library. To do this, follow these steps:

    - Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    - Select My games & apps > See all > Apps.

    - Highlight the app that you downloaded and press the Menu button on your controller.

    - Select Manage app > App settings.

    - Make sure that the option Hide this app in my library is not checked.

    - Check the storage device and make sure that the app is installed on the same device as your library. To do this, follow these steps:

    - Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    - Select My games & apps > See all > Manage.

    - Select Storage devices and choose the device where you installed the app.

    - Select Apps and look for the app that you downloaded.

    - If you find the app, you can move it to another device or change your default storage device to match your library.

    - Update your Xbox Series S and see if that solves the issue. Sometimes, outdated versions of the system may cause display issues or bugs. To update your Xbox Series S, follow these steps:

    - Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    - Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates & downloads.

    - If there are any updates available, select Download and install.

    - Restart your Xbox Series S after the updates are installed.

We look forward to your response. Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.

    Hello RoyPeled,

Thank you for getting back with the thread.

We would like to ask on the update for the issue you had with your console. Has there been any progress after performing those steps provided? Our plan was to submit feedback so this can be investigated by our engineers however, the Report a problem app cannot be found after you have downloaded it from Microsoft Store which is also strange. If the Report a problem app still does not show, resetting your console by keeping your games and apps is worth a try. Here are the steps:

    • Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    • Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.
    • On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options: Select Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your first choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games and apps.

We look forward to your response. Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.

This is so frustrating... I tried to do that. I went to the store, found the app, clicked on it, then "get it". Then it seemed to download it. Went to "my games and apps" - it wasn't there. Went back to the store, foudn it again, clicked on it, then it said I already own it and that I should go to "my games and apps" or "library" and I"ll find it there. But it's not (I searched well, the full library for all owned apps. It's not there).
