A completely flawed system

Hi there,

Yes, I'm on about the reputation system. Recently, my reputation has dipped to 'Avoid Me' status. I am now completely incapable of finding matches on Halo 5, Halo MCC, Battlefield 4 and Overwatch. I've read that the primary method of improving my rep is
to play games on matchmaking, but clearly that isnt an option. How on Earth am I meant to improve my rep then? Even without going into the absurdity of my reports, the inability to fix my rep is dumbfounding enough.

Having checked my reports, I've received 14 reports for 'cheating' and 'unsportsmanlike behaviour' combined. The majority of which I'm sure come from Halo, as it's by far my main game. I have no idea why I've received any of these reports as I rarely talk
to anyone in game and simply move on from match to match without any issue. I've come to learn that leaving games on MCC happens to negatively impact my Xbox rep so that may have something to do with it. Regardless none of that seems to justify having my Gold
Membership become pretty much useless.

In addition, I have received 2 reports for text and voice messaging each. Firstly, I don't ever recall having actually sent a voice message on this system. Secondly, the two text messages are ones that's got me comm banned back in April and seeing as my
rep has only dipped in the last month, they can't have played that much part in lowering me to 'Avoid Me' rep.

Complaints aside, how am I possibly meant to rectify my reputation issue? Over the last 7 years, I've paid and continue to pay good money for Xbox and it's left me rather confused and bitter to see my experience halted for reasons I do not understand. Please,
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your website and system is completely unusable and flawed system.

except you dont know if that's the msg.that was the reasom

You do realize that a it takes days to weeks before any report is actioned on

Thats.the point of anonymous rrports

You don't get feedback nor can you retailiate against said users

It's real.simple keep it clean

Reputation does not do anything. You will not be banned for a bad reputation. You will not miss out on a game for having a bad reputation. Nothing will happen. The best thing you can do is completely ignore it. A better thing
will be for Xbox to completely remove the entirely flawed, and easy to abuse reputation system.

But, I'm still confused as to what I should do. I cannot play online, hence I can't improve my rep. Therefore, the enforcement site's recommendations are void. So, am I expected to just make another account?

 

It's. It void either you play with avoid me players or play other games that don't rely on party chat or.match making which there is quite a few

Never winter which is free or elder scrolls.or.battlefield

Also change your behavior

 

You will gradually rebuild.it but it does take time it's best to avoid being unsportmanlike like

 

Try to play as much coop games as you can with a large pool of players you haven't played before. Avoid online friction and smack talk for a while until your rep gets better.

How you present yourself decides your rep

A smack talker or a hater or not a team player or a poor communicator

People don't realize how rep truly is representive of who you are

It's not you or one person you play against who decides your rep it is the comminity if 10 players decided you are a bad sportmans or a smack talker what do you expect

I seen people who boast on forums they aren't bad players but just too good

(Bad sportmanship)

People don't realize there od a huge difference between wining good or winning poorly

You treat others how you want to be treated

You boast excessively during your win that's wining badly and people report you as a bad sportmans it's not rocket science

The problem is, there is nothing wrong with my behaviour, as far as I'm aware. I sit in game chat, giving callouts to those who have a mic, I play my game, it ends, I search again. Even when being extremely pedantic, the only thing I can see people reporting
me for, is the occasional corpse shoot or donkey punch - which are genuinely valid tactics to make your opponent tilt.

Whilst I accept that this is the situation and I'll need to serve my time, the entire system is a joke. There is no means for me to find out what I'm specifically getting reported for, so how am I meant to correctly alter my behaviour? Seeing as it's all
automated, it allows bitter losers to report me as a cheater and still help in getting me lowered. Seemingly, all it does is prompt "bad" players to just make a new account, sell their Xbox or take a heightened dislike to the XBL community.

So my question now is: are there any effective means for me to add my voice to the matter? For example, some kind of petition. So that MS can recognise the flaw in their system and hopefully attempt a fix.

Regardless, I guess it's time to download World of Tanks or Neverwinter and just tape my controller forward for a few days...

You can make your voice heard via the
Xbox Feedback site. I'm sure you can find a topic on there about rep. If there are more than one, try to find the one with the most votes and tack your post and vote onto that.
