A button unresponsive on Home Screen

I'm having an issue with my Xbox One that is only happening on the home screen. I've tried cold restarts, multiple controllers, full reset of the system, but yet it continues. Whenever I am on the home screen, the A button on the controller will not work
all the time. It will take multiple button presses to get the selection to "register". I've tried this both wired, and wirelessly. I've even hooked up a keyboard to the Xbox and it will not always register the "enter" key either so I'm fairly certain it
is not an issue with the controller.

Note that this only happens on the home screen. Once I get into game, there doesn't appear to be any issues with the A key being recognized every time. While this is not a deal breaker because I can actually play, it makes inviting people to parties, sending
messages extremely frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated!

Xbox One controller Randomly dissects and reconnects during gameplay.

I have same issue, now experiencing mid session unresponsiveness with all buttons but home/logo button totally unresponsive. No disconnect message, just unresponsive. Any others?

 

Xbox freezing/crashing after 10 mins

Hi, thanks for the advise. I tried this and reset everything, started like a new console and the same thing happened unfortunately. Half way through the first game I attempted on fifa17 so about 5 mins in. Just frozen screen and unresponsive apart from
the home button on the controller.

 

I am having the same problem and have done almost the same thing. For the past 3 and a half hours I've been trying to update everything, looking at forums, Youtube videos, and all over the internet seeing people having the problem and someone saying do this
and do that but nothing has helped so far. I would really like to fix it so I can continue using my system without pressing A 100 times just to sign in and then play a game.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. If the issue is persisting, I recommend trying a

factory reset of your console. If that doesn't help, you'll want to post a new thread of your own detailing your issues so the community can best assist. This thread is a couple months old and reviving old threads is generally not good forum etiquette.
