[A] Button stops working after Xbox One wakes from sleep

Starting this morning (2017-06-26) my Xbox One S developed an interesting little quirk. When I wake it from sleep (after it has shut itself down or I use the console menu to "power off" the console), the [A] button on any controller connected to it does
not function. This prevents me from being able to login to Xbox Live or activate any thing in any menu.

The resolution to this issue is to power it down completely using the power button on the console and then start it back up.

I would like to find out why this is occurring and correct it.

How to configure wake on lan

Hi,

I am trying to turn my xbox on over the network (Wake on LAN). There is alot of talk about this, but i havent found a good post on how to configure the xbox one to work with this properly. I test it using this CLI tool: arcreative/xbox-on

It seems to work when the xbox is sleep mode after it has been on shortly before. When the xbox has been in sleep mode for a longer period of time the tool is not working anymore.

Can you assist me in how i should configure the xbox one so wake on lan works all the time?

having a similar problem with my console, unable to access any menus or open any applications in addition to not logging in on startup. cannot interface with home menu or power menu.
