"A" button does not work correctly within main menu

The "A" button doesn't allow me to open any apps (though when I hold it down over an app it would make it flash as if it is being pressed) or do much else from the main menu.

It still works within Halo MCC, which is the only game I can run right now because of this problem.

Sorry to hear about the button issue! I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps if you haven't already, just to make sure that we have covered everything:

• First, make sure that your controllers have been updated .
  
• Once you have made sure that you controllers have been updated, remove the batteries from your controller and replace them with fresh batteries.
  
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console has powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait a few minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and check to see if the issue is continuing to occur

Hi there. It sounds like a hard reset may fix this. Hold down the Xbox logo on your console for 10 seconds until it completely powers down. Restart and try again. If that doesn't work, shut it down the same way and unplug the power cord from the back of
the console for 5 minutes and try again.

 

Having same issue, I just tried your fix and the problem still persists

 

I updated the driver as I did that I noticed there was something pressing down on the keyboard I unplugged that and now its working fine again. So I'm guessing it was either the update that I needed or the keyboard interrupting the input from the controller.

 

I am having the exact same issue only on the main menu. Please post anyone who has found a solution.
