    "A" Button Broken


    My Xbox One Controller + Cable for Windows' "A" button is no longer functioning. I've tested all buttons and everything works fine except for the "A" button which does not even register when I press it. The button does not feel any different than normal
    when I press it, and the controller is very new, as I purchased it January 23 of this year. I tried to report the problem, which required me to register my controller officially, but the serial code did not fit in the box provided. Posting on these forums
    is all I could think of after that didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Because I don't feel like driving 30 miles to a 24 hour Super Walmart right now. Thanks for the suggestion.

    sorry to hear about your problem, I assume the serial number issue was coming up when you tried to use the xbox online service centre linked
    here?

    If thats not working I suggest contacting the support team directly to see if they can sort it out for you. the link is

    Hello Ewan, if you spilled some kind of liquid as you mention in your description it damaged the contacts of your controller buttons.

    You will have to check your control's guarantee to see if it is still valid, if not, the ideal thing would be to send the control to some technical assistance that can help you.

    would personally reset the whole console and see if this helps, if not successful check if controller is in warranty and get a replacement
