    A and X buttons not working properly


    Hi, the A button works as if it were the X button and sometimes vice-versa. This is the second problem I have with my controller in less than 6 months, since I bought my Xbox One. before, the right analog stick kept drifting up. The controller was replaced,
    but now there is this problem and the warranty is over. Hope someone can help me. I'm seriously thinking about selling my console if I have to spend money a new controller.

    I know how you feel, my A button and Right trigger act like its Down on the Dpad. Happens in and out of games. Bought a new controller and it still happens.

    Thanks for the support message.

    Any mechanical issues with a controller is going to have to be a repair. You can take the controller to a Microsoft store in your area if it's in warranty and they will replace it for you for free. You can also send it in for replacement at
    http://myservice.xbox.com/ You will need your controller serial number/Product ID and will need to register it.

    I live in Australia so unfortunately there isn't a Walmart I can go to and replacement controllers are pretty expensive, I do think you're right about my controller wearing out :(

    Hi KinniKitty!

    To me it sounds like your controller X button has wore out. Occasionally that will happen, for me it was the 'Up' on my D-Pad fortunately they have reduced the costs of the controllers 20 bucks for some. I picked up a Blue one at Walmart for 40$! You should
    keep your old controller though in case another controller breaks and you can use one for parts! Hope that helps! GLGG!

    Just an update in order to help other players that could experience the same issue...

    1) If you start your xbox one, by controller or by the X lighter button, and then you launch Fortnite with the headset unplugged from your controller, then your headset will not works properly.

    2) If you start your xbox one only by the X lighter button, then you plug the headset into the controller and then you start your controller with the X button, after starting Fortnite your headset will works properly.

    It seems that controller and headset must be started together, after having started your xbox one, but before launching Fortnite.

    I hope this can help.
