A 12 Months Gold Membership, not for the Xbox One???

Hi, I've recently brought a 12 Months Gold Membership online, then I got the code from an email and since I was typing the code out for the Xbox One, it said "Success! You now own Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold for the Xbox 360. If this product is part of the
Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, it will appear in the Ready to Install section of My Games & Apps when it becomes available."

Please, I wanted to use the 12 Months Gold Membership for the Xbox One, not for the 360. What do I do?

It's normally $60 for 12 months, but if you look around you can always find it for cheaper. Check out cdkeys, they have 12 months for $30.99 at the moment.

You can pretty much ignore that message because an Xbox Gold Membership is attached to your account, not a specific console, so Gold membership will work no matter what console you sign into. That message with the backwards compatibility thing shows for
every code you redeem rather it's a subscription, game, movie, or something else, so you can just ignore that message. You shouldn't have any issues with using Gold benefits on the Xbox One.

hi i had the same issue i used the code and it said that it would appear on my ready to intall section but nothing appears what can i do?

 

The message about being in the ready to install section is only for games and content. Gold subscriptions will not show there. You just need to be signed into your account.
