Lol is this serious? I just bought it on the 360 as well as the X1 and the graphics difference won't bother me in the slightest even with the much more obvious difference.

The X1 upscales anyway with no loss of performance due to it being provided via hardware. You really have to look even on side by side comparisons.

I bet if you tested these resolution sensitive folk in an empty room with just a plasma, the console connected in another room you can't see. Not side by side, and asked them which platform it was running on. You would get pretty much a 50% success rate
across the board. I can honestly say I would be completely guessing.

Can I just say the difference from 720p to 1080p is instantly noticeable when running PC games. Monitors are much sharper than your average TV.

I encode blurays to my HTPC usually in 720p to save on HD space. If I love the film I straight rip it, no compression because the film "is worth it". The difference in filesize is huge but it just isn't really worth it IMO.

 

We have an Xbox One and a Ps4 in our house. And whilst Sony might run a higher resolution on some games to look that tiny bit nicer, the online gameplay suffers for it. I'll happily take 900hp's if it doesn't effect the gameplay. Compaired to the old consoles,
it's still amazing. But as a paying customer, your welcome to your opinions, but the grass isn't always greener.
