90% of my games won't launch from Xbox app

Discus and support 90% of my games won't launch from Xbox app in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; The games that work were installed a very long time ago.     90% of my games won't launch from Xbox app


    The games that work were installed a very long time ago.

    Almost all of the other games I've installed just take me to the Gaming Services windows store page.

    Reinstalled the Gaming Services through powershell as suggested, nothing.

    I've used Windows Media Creation Tool to repair and have installed KB5004296 which (supposedly) fixes this. No joy.

    Trying to get a callback from Microsoft results in "an error occured on our side" when entering my phone number. Useless.

    I've wasted countless hours of my weekend on this now. Was half way through a game. Probably just going to cancel Game Pass to be honest.

    I'm sorry you're having problems with this.

    Press the Windows Button then type Services.

    Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

    Then select Run as Administrator

    Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

    IP Helper

    Xbox Live Auth Manager,

    Xbox Live Game Save,

    Xbox Live Networking Service.

    Gaming Services

    Gaming Services

    Do this with each of the services listed above.

    Right-click over the service and select Properties.

    Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

    If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

    Click Apply and OK to save changes.

    Then try the game again"

    A lot of people are having this issue, it won't launch from the Xbox (Beta) app, but it launches perfectly fine from both the Xbox Console Companion app, and from the Start menu itself. It's an extra step needed to launch the game, but that should help
    you get into the game until they resolve the issue with the app.

    It seems that I can't launch it from the Dashboard, but that it will launch fine if I open it from my Recent games/apps.

    My game did, however if you go into My games and apps on the Xbox and check in the updates section there. Also if you launch Forza and it requires an update the game won't launch but will then start the update.

    Having the same issue.. Launching No Mans Sky through the Xbox (beta) app redirects me to 'Gaming Services' in the Microsoft Store which says that it's installed. Have tried uninstalling both with no joy. It has launched before from the Xbox app, but won't
    now.
