9 months in and now it wont read discs

I've had my console for 9 months now after the August update it started having trouble reading discs I have had to take them out and put them back in a couple times a little bit annoying but I was playing or watching movies in no time now after the October
update it's so much worse I can put in a DVD and it might work everything else for games Blu rays very hit and miss way more than it ever has been.

Xbox One returned for repair after less than a month

My day one console wouldn't read discs at all, it was sent for repair and i got it back after 9 days. In the box was a code for a free month of gold. I guess that was my compensation.

You might want to do some troubleshooting. Have you tried to do a hard reset on the console, and also clear the persistent storage.

Sadly, if that doesn't help, you might need to set up a repair for your console. It should be under warranty. You can do this 1 of 2 ways.

1) Go to myservice.xbox.com and set up a repair there

2) Call 1-800-4-Myxbox and set up a repair with agent

besides, now you wont have problems with a disc being scratch by your console

and the disc will play smoother cause it wont read a disc, it will read your HDD

Hi tried that reset to 1080 then signed in and tried the game i had downloaded last night that is now playing, but have now discovered another problem loaded just cause 4 disc that i loaded last night and fully installed and now it wont read the disc, tried
another disc and wont read that so i am guessing the blueray drive is faulty

Now upon further inspection my xbox isnt missing its side panel that that protects the inside of my xbox, and it wont even take disc now..... So i sent it in whole, not reading disc it comes back missing parts of the xbox, and it wont even accept disc now...

Seems to have worked. But now my disc wont read. I had to re insert it 3 times for it to read. Both times before it made 4. 1 second buzzing sounds. Now I tried putting in a game, wont read, makes no noise. Eject it, insert, made 3 buzzing noises and wont
read. 3rd time, makes the regular reading disc noise and works... Wtf microsoft...how is this next gen? Id be out of a job if I kept making crap everytime I finish a project.
