8bitdo trigger not working on Minecraft

Recently, I bought the 8bitdo Ultimate bluetooth controller to play on both my Switch and tablet. It really works fine on the Switch and other tablet games I've tested. But the triggers, specifically the triggers, doesn't work on Minecraft (the Dpad has some issues too, but the triggers are a really important part of the game, so it bothers me much more than the Dpad issue). I've tried playing Minecraft on my phone with the controller, but the problem is still there.

Is ther anyway to fix this?

(By the way, I don't remember trying to deleting it to solve the problem, but I'm not sure if it's going to help).

....just microsoft being picky and trying to make everyone buy an xbox controller or a licenced third party controller.

It's not that 'picky'. The controller that the OP has is a cheap Chinese imitation Xbox 360 type pad, which from the looks of it doesn't support Xinput.

If you have an Xinput controller supported it will work with Windows Store games, it doesn't matter what the make is. My controller of choice is the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ it's not licensed by Microsoft and works on everything.
