    (This is my first forum post. Sorry for any mistakes) So for the past few weeks I've been having issues with trying to watch a downloaded TV episode. At first when the error code 803c0008 appeared on my screen I followed the on-screen instructions like any
    good citizen. But after double checking everything and seeing that all things were in order but was still receiving an error code. I took to the internet. Several Microsoft support answers related to this error code were such as:

    -Refresh Purchase History (and download said episode)

    -Delete cache three or more times

    -Delete rights database

    Now this worked for some customers. But for a handful of others (like me) they were still met with the error code. Now I wouldn't be too upset about this issue, but people who purchase TV content through xbox video have a limited download license (which
    by the way you can't even renew!) to put TV episodes on their hard drive. I personally prefer to download all my video purchases. I just like having all that stuff at the ready (you know?).

    Now in the event that someone who somewhat understands my situation reads this here are some specific details:

    - I am using the same profile that was used to purchase the content in the first place.

    - I can STREAM the episode just fine but watching the downloaded version (both offline and online) is an issue.

    -The xbox used during the purchasing of the TV show is the same xbox being used to watch the downloaded episodes.

    -The TV episode in question is the third episode of Sailor Moon. I would like to point out that the episode's download size was only appx. 240mb when the rest of the episodes were around 525mb.

    Also. Please avoid responding with any of the previously tried suggestions. They have obviously not worked! I would also like to be clear on one more thing for Microsoft. I do NOT want a refund. I just want my downloaded episodes to work. I feel like I
    have done everything possible to try and fix this solution but I seem unable to make any progress.

    I apologize if this post is poorly constructed. But this issue makes me worried that I might have this same issue spanned across the 6+ TV seasons I've purchased please help.

    Can't watch movies

    I keep receiving error code 803c0008. I recently rented lord of the rings and can't watch it. What's going on?

    The error code you listed suggests that the license is missing, corrupted or doesn't belong to the profile.

    Now, seeing as how you say the size of the download for that episode was less than half of what the other ones are and that you can stream the episode just fine it sounds as though the file has been corrupted.

    If this is the case then there's nothing that can be done to fix it. Check your hard drive to see if there's an exclamation mark beside the file (this would denote corruption in the file). Of course if the license is corrupted you may not see the exclamation
    mark.

    Your only option here would be to delete the file and (if it still allows you) redownload it to your console.

    (Thanks for responding) Unfortunately that did not help. I check my hard drive. There was no indication of an error or corruption. The video in question looked like every other video file on my hard drive. The Xbox video app even said that the download was
    supposed to be that small (which doesn't make sense seeing as every other episode was appx. 500mb). I deleted it from my hard drive (from the system settings memory tab) and re-downloaded it but that did not help. Maybe there could have been an error on xbox
    video's end when they posted the season... But that's just wishful thinking.

    Sorry about the late reply. I didn't see a reply in this for some reason. Perhaps the boards were acting up that day.

    Anyway, the issue does seem odd and perhaps it does lay with the fact that not all the info for the file was posted. In that particular case you should contact phone support for your region to let them know what's going on so they can try to fix it.
