Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that the Xbox Live account , the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us they can do a more indepth look into this issue.

has anyone got any answers or any response from Microsoft at all about this issue? Cuz honestly this is the kind of thing that a company can get a class action lawsuit over. All the Hallmarks are there they Market a product that doesn't work refuse to address
the issue which ended up causing a financial loss for everyone that suffered from this problem I'm out 60 bucks because they can't bother to have their services working properly and they marketed a faulty product I honestly I'm half tempted to demand satisfaction
call Microsoft themselves and launch a formal complaint maybe even get in contact with a lawyer

just call xbox support. if you have the card and the receipt they can help you get the code replaced. it's most likely an inactive code or something ( at least is was for me ) and once I sent them the info they sent me a new code.

have any of you actually called xbox support? because when I did they looked up the code and found the issue and they were able to help me. posting in the forums is great and all but if you actually call you might get more help.
