    Hello, So I am having some really bad issues with my xbox connection.

    It disconnects on estimate about every 30 minutes. Its gotten to the point where I can almost time it.

    Everytime I disconnect it gives me the "Cant Connect to xbox live screen" along with the error of "80151901"

    Now, It cant be my modem being bad or router, etc. Those are brand new because we had to replace the last ones we had.

    I thought it was the distance from the modem at first. So I got a wifi Extender(Repeater)... It did fix my Lag and stuff like that. I get 42 mbs download and like 6 upload since we bought the extender. So I am pretty much free of lag, its just I get disconnected
    from xbox live every half hour or so.

    May I add that I am connected through Ethernet into my extender(Repeater) into the back of my xbox.

    It still disconnects when it is wired and wireless.

    Now...

    My brother is tech support for the internet company that we get our internet WIFI from.

    He has told me a few things that might be the issue here;

    1) It is the IP revamping itself like I guess refreshing, not disconnecting but he said refreshing the IPs Connection

    2) My Xbox's Network thing in my xbox is broken

    3) It might still be too far from the modem.

    Another thing I want to add. Is that when it disconnects all I have to do is test my connection and its back up. So its like I just turns off and then back on a minute later. Another thing that is weird is that my computer is right next to my xbox and my
    computer doesn't disconnect from the internet nor any other devices in the house hold.

    Hey there, Reaper! I'm sorry to see that you're running into this error code. Hopefully I can get you sorted out!

    This generally shows up with some profile corruption. Please follow the instructions below to see if we can resolve this.



    Delete the profile that’s stored on your Xbox console


    To delete the profile that’s stored on your Xbox console:

    1. Go to Settings and select System.
    2. Select Storage.
    3. Select All Devices.
    4. Select Gamer Profiles.
    5. Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
    6. Select Delete.
    7. Select Delete Profile Only. (This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.)
    Clear the system cache

    Note Repeat these steps three times.

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
    2. Go to Settings and select System Settings.
    3. Select Storage or Memory.
    4. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
    5. Select Clear System Cache.
    6. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
    Download your profile again

    To download your Xbox Live profile, follow these steps:

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.

    1. Select Download Profile.
      Note If you don’t see a Download Profile notification, it probably means you’re signed in to your profile. Press X to sign out.
    2. Enter the Microsoft account that’s associated with your Xbox Live gamertag. If you don’t know your Microsoft account or password, see Find your Microsoft account email
      address or password
      .
      Note If your account is an Xbox Live child account, you need to have an adult in your household use their Microsoft account to download the profile.
    3. Select the storage device for your profile (for example, Hard Drive).

      Your profile will begin downloading.
    This should sort you out and get your profile back up and running. Please post back if this doesn't help you and we'll see if there's anything else we can do to troubleshoot this issue! 80151901 Disconnection Error :D

    Appreciate if you can post up the make and model of your router, extender and your modem as well.

    Beside those steps Miss Qutiepie provided, have you tried any other steps? If so, please detail out those steps for us, so we don't post up solutions that you have already tried.

    May I ask, are you able to bypass your wireless extender and connect your console directly into the router? If not, try restore your extender to factory defaults and manually configure your extender's wireless settings. For this, consult the manual for your
    wireless extender, or
    read the following guide
    .

    I would also suggest that you visit Linksys website, to make sure your wireless extender is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware.

    .Two valuable tips:

    1. Make sure you use different wireless channels for your router, resp. wireless extender. Use channels that are non-overlapping with each other (1, 6, 11).
    2. Use a
      static IP
      address for your wireless extender, instead of letting the router assign IP address to your extender.

    If you choose to use static IP, I would advice you to alter the DHCP's IP pool end- or start -address, depending on your router's configuration. This method is used to avoid IP conflicts with devices that obtain IP configuration from the DHCP server's dynamic
    range.

    For example, if your default gateway uses 192.168.1.1 and the DHCP IP address pool ranges from 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254 (LAN), lower the ending address to be 192.168.1.100 and make your extender's IP to be outside of the dynamic range. For example, 192.168.1.120
