I too am getting this 801500A message this morning on my XBOX 360. I was just on it yesterday playing NCAA 14. I hadn't played the game in years, but I played it from my online library. Was going to play again this morning and got the can't connect to
xbox live. Bummer. Microsoft, fix this.

Select Clear System Cache

Power Cycle the box. Try the download again.

I've had Xbox, and games for years. Never had any issues, it seems however that there's a major issue, and it appears to stem from Game Pass subscriptions. Prior my sister had no issues playing my 360 backward compatible games, until she purchased Game Pass on her account. Before she had free use of mine while active on my console. With the purchase of Game Pass it's kicking out the 801500A error telling her to sign into her Microsoft account.

What I find odd, is that if you read the text in the box accompanying said error, is specifically states that the Xbox profile doesn't have the proper credentials. Making me wonder if it's just a coding error/bug relating to Game Pass and the proper elevation of permissions, or rights for the accounts to do this. If for some reason this error is an oversight on someone's end, or if maybe the fact that Game Pass includes Xbox Live Gold, and (as far as I'm aware Live is included with all new gen Xbox systems) it could be a miscommunication between the Live statues.

Bear in mind this is all theoretical conjecture at this moment in time, based on my experience with Windows, starting with DOS, and Windows 3.1, to what we have today, on top of IT schooling, and training, as well as experience with MS Server platforms. Plus, a new set of eyes, and new perspective never hurt in debugging, or problem solving. My hope is that it can all be sorted out swiftly, and let everyone enjoy their games again.
