8007007A doesn't make snse

To start from the top I had a problem a few days ago where I couldn't sign in into Xbox live with the error code 8007007A. I looked it up, followed all the steps with my profile deletion being the last step I tried. I then tried to redownload my profile
but was told "sorry Xbox live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later. 8007007A" I contacted customer support on here and twitter to no avail. Followed all of their steps and I still can't download my account. I don't know what else to do.

This can work have done it a few times if it doesn't you need new packs.

Same here. I initially got the error message like 4 days ago and did everything you did plus talked to customer support. The end result is always the same....8007007A. I've been playing on this profile for years now and to be told I can't use it despite
having paid for it is BS. Anyway, I don't have a fix but if anything maybe the Xbox engineers will do something about it if they keep seeing more and more people having the same issues.

 

I contacted them today, they said it is an issue for quite a few people. They also said they were working on getting it fixed as soon as possible.

 

I'm having the same problem, but it only effects me when I try to play 360, either on the actual console or through backwards compatibility.

Connecting to XBox Live and Profile Download Errors

I have an XBox 360 Elite. Never a problem until today. System wouldn’t connect to XBox Live. Tested my wireless connection and the internet and XBox Live connections were fine. Still won’t connect to XBox Live and given error code: 8007007A. Support and
forum websites had steps to delete profile only, clear cache, and download profile. Did all steps, even shutting down my XBox, disconnecting the power cable, resetting my router, and now it won’t even let me download my profile!!! Given same error code: 8007007A
“XBox Live profiles can’t be downloaded right now”. I called support and they took my info and complaint. I was told this is a “new” problem that just started last week. There is no fix for it yet and was told I’d be followed up with every couple days via
email and was given a service request number. No telling when or even if this problem can be resolved. I’m annoyed and frustrated. Not to mention, I asked if I will be reimbursed for the cost of my gold membership seeing that I can’t even use it right now!!
That matter is pending as well.

Has anyone else run into this problem? What has support told you? If anyone knows how to resolve this, please let me know!

 

I have had same issue since 3/12/2018... tried all stuff on website for the code. I also factory reset modem and router, changed the hard drive to a new one, I tried downloading profile on another x-box at a different location. used live chat and phone calls
several times, still waiting to be fixed. I really doubt this will be fixed...

 

I feel you! I am having the exact same error code and messages. I can't re downloading my profile either. Its really pissing me off because my wife just bought me an Xbox live gold membership and i can't use it now. I don't know what else to do either!

 

XBox better have an answer for this soon! My patience is wearing thin. It’s already been a week from when I heard this started for some.

 

Mine is the same, it's ridiculous. Nobody can help, either that or they just don't care.

Buy a different console.

 

apparently if you didn't delete your profile (like support suggested) you CAN sign in now but who had that kind of foresight. the rest of us are still screwed, I even had a backup profile on thumb drive but it got deleted during this hair pulling fiasco
