80% "Can't Download" (Xbox360)

So I own a xbox 1 x and a 360, I've been buying a bunch of digital 360 games on my Xbox 1but when the wife wants to use the tv I go to our other tv which I have my 360 hooked up, so I've been downloading
games I've bought on my 1 on the 360

Which they mostly all work but I found 3 games that no matter what I do won't work. Assassins creed 1 and 3 and mass effect 1. I've downloaded these several times and they all go to 80% then a pop up says
"Can't download". Go to storage and the game is corrupted sometimes with a size of 40kb other times full download size

I've cleared my cache, done multiple power down cycles. Not my internet cuz I've downloaded multiple other titles with no error.

I've read it may be a issue with my region but I'm here in the USA and my region is that also, billing address is set where it should be also.

So a run down.

I clear cache, redownloaded getting error

Resets router, redownloading error

Deleted xbox live cache, error

Removed profile and redownloaded it, error

Tried usb hard drive, error

Don't understand issue it's odd that it can be with just these games listed as I have deleted and redownloaded other titles and they work fine. Even removed more to add space on my hdd just in case I
had a bad sector in my hard drive and still errors out

Kinda out of ideas any help would be great

Thanks, ive tried the things you've said but i will not solve te problem.

the dowload will stop at 80%. with the message can't dowload kotor2. My console is a xbox360

Yea I’ve had the same problem on my 360 (dont own a xbox one). I just purchased a few games yesterday (mercenaries, star wars battlefront, and star wars jedi knight jedi academy) and am having the exact same problem as you and have also tried doing the same
things you have with no solution in sight. It sucks i hope they give us a refund if they don’t intend to fix this.

Well progress has been made my games don't stop at 80 anymore but show a 100% and even gives me a option to play now. But if u choose that it won't work they shoot you back to the my games section and the games in question are no where to be found

Check hd and they are there full download size and all but corrupted still unusable

I have cleared cache, port forwarded my modem put it in the dmz, wireless and wired connection tried, 3 different hard drives tried 2 being Microsoft branded, deleted and reinstalled my profile pretty u ask and I've done it

Weird thing I noticed. 360 games purchased using the Xbox 1 storefront seem to be the issue here. I bought and downloaded a 360 game on the 360 and had no issues but games bought online or on the Xbox one won't fully complete or will still be corrupted at
100%

Any other advice? I've called support 4 times none have been helpful, explained my problem 4 times and actually got hung up on twice after I explained it

 

Does your account region match your physical location? That can sometimes be the sign of a region issue.

 

Yes USA region, on both consoles and physical location matches

We understand the issue, and it might have to do with the Hard Drive.

We'll provide this “The game could not start” error occurs on Xbox 360 article.

In addition with this, try a different Hard Drive attached to the console.

I have tried 2 Microsoft hard drives, and one usb hard drive

 

As for the update deleted I tried that also while I was having the issues with the games not fully downloading and only going to 80%, it didn't help anything at that moment

Now for some reason or another the games go to 100, say they are completed and then I can play now or continue but if I hit play now it goes to a black screen and then a few secs later just pulls up my games section, doesn't say anything no pop ups or anything

I almost feel u guys have a issue somewhere in the purchasing option on the storefront. Like I said games bought on the 360 will download and work just fine but ones bought on the one don't

I've even tried do a license import and that hasn't help anything

when you click go to solution 7 and try that I will post here also

To reinstall the latest Xbox 360 update, follow these steps:

1. Clear the system cache. To do this, see the "Clear the system cache" section above.
   
2. Roll back and then reinstall system updates. To do this:
   1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
   2. Go to settings and select System.
   3. Select Storage.
   4. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
      

• Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.

I don't believe it will work but I will give it another shot, i will post a update after I run thru the steps

Deleted update and installed the new system updated. Deleted caches, deleted profile reloaded profile. All over again absolutely nothing

Still download corrupt... nothing seems to fix this on my end, can't even restore my licenses cuz I already did it once a weeks or so again so I didn't even know if that will fix it. Doubt it tho

Watch the download all the way from 0 to 100% (from 80% to 100% the jump was almost instant tho)

Found another game that has this exact issue so it brings my total to 4 games now, funny thing is all these games were purchased from July or so to present. All purchased using the Xbox one store front or xbox.com

Even confirmed this buy buying ghost recon advance on the Xbox one and then trying to download it on the 360 and it failed. Then for the sake of trying I bought defiance on the 360 store and it downloaded fine and was able to play it

Any other ideas?

Ghost recon (bought on Xbox one)

Assassins creed 3 (bought on Xbox 1 while it was free on games with gold)

Assassins creed 1 (bought on xbox.com)

 

If this happens to me I would throw my xbox 360 out the window I dont have too much patience hehehehe hope it all gets resolved or buy an extra xbox one for the wifey so she can play on the latest hardware I guess...
