8 Months in, and still no Voice Messages.

Yes Smileskybird, I use VM everyday on the 360. Currently I am going back and playing all of my classics Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Gears of War, Fable and a few others. So I use them still, and love them. I agree with you, the trolls messages do not bother
me at all. I just delete them, as well as file a complaint and move on.

 

Its not like voting for someone for office, because if I don't like one I can vote for the other blocking the one I didn't want.

In regards to it being different from one gen to another, its not going to be different just becuase the hardware updates, the people are still the same, and even if they are not at the moment at some point most 360 users will be on the XO.

If I hadn'd used VM, IMO i wouldn't be in a position to saying anything against it, however I think it would be a better if it wasn't implemented on XO. Its a bit like all these people who haven't used the kinect 2 complain about it, when its an amazing
bit of kit.

 

I hear ya Davey boy. I appreciate your conversation. I think that they would learn from last gen though. Don't you? I mean, that is what evolution is all about. Evolving old features into newer fresher versions of the old.

 

I agree, they could put in a system that works for the majority (i appreciate you can't please everyone), and the tech is certainly there, hopefully it will evolve from the VM of the 360, but we will have to wait and see.

Oh no Davey, I'm not saying you shouldn't get a say. I'm all for a compromise, and that's why I agree 100% that it should have an option to disable the feature.

I should of been more clear and I acknowledge that. I meant that if the option to down vote features was on the feedback site, you would end up having loads of ideas with no votes because people would just no vote thing's They have no interest in. I just
believe the way they do it now is intact the best way.

I'm sure sooner or later there will be more ways of messaging across Xbox Live on Xbox 1, than just morse code, sorry... txting ^^.

@Goat, if you implement it and then allow someone to disable it, then allow people to have use it to send messages to people that have disabled it, with no notification to either, then it will be broken and better not to implement it, if they implenent it
with some clever options it could be impressive.

I also don't see the feedback system working like that, but in my mind a negative vote wouldn't be a way to neutralize a positive vote. It would simply be a way to voice an opinion, preferable backed up with some information.

I don't think the comments section allows for this and IMO is a conversation with the other feedback users, the way to build the best functions, is by listening to both sides and getting a whole picture then building something special and not a half backed
job based on the optimism and not the reality
