  1. 7A 125V~ power cord

Hello, I arrived in Australia from Colombia, and I brought the xbox series S, on the console it says that it can be used from 120 to 240V, but the power cable only says 120v~ 7A. Does the power cable that my console came with work for me or do I need to get another power cable?

    :)

    7A 125V~ power cord

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.

I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today Andrés!

I can recommend you use a different power cable just in case, but as you said. The internal console power supply is capable to handle Australia voltage (and basically every voltage between 120~240.

Those 5V can do the difference, in terms of electricity is always better matches the required voltage to avoid power issues or unexpected console shutdowns

Hope it helps, greetings from another Microsoft user

    Power cord replacement

Sorry I wasn't specific enough, it's an Xbox one and upon looking at the cords I'm getting different information. The power supply says input of 100V but the original cord says 7A 125V on the wall plug and 10A 250V on the part that plugs into the power
supply, then the cord in question says 10A 125V on the part that plugs into the Xbox.

    Xbox one s power cable

    How are you, Lauren?

Microsoft does not sell power cords or HDMI cables. You can find cables with the same specification for your console at major online stores.

    Cable specifications are Power Cord Type: 2-Slot, 18 AWG x 2C, 125V 10A

Can you use any power cord that fits the xbox one sI see that it is a cable that I have seen before

    Hello landed,

Technically the answer to your question "...any cable that fits should work?" is, Yes. Here in the US, any non-polarized 18 AWG (7 Amps) 125V AC power cord should work. However, Microsoft and the Xbox team cannot make any recommendations other than using
the AC power cord that came with your Xbox One S.

    Good luck and good gaming,

    SA

    power cord

    Hey there DEADMANS187,

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for clarity on getting a new power cord. You should be able to purchase this accessory through any certified reseller of Xbox products including gaming stores and the like but you might want to check on their site. The
Xbox One X and S have the same kind of power supply so if you find one of those you should be good.

    Thanks for reading!
