^

That would be the 4tb version.

2. Thank you for the suggestion.

I I see that the largest xternal hdd u can get is a 4tb, unless you get a stand alone, which I've seen up to 5tb.

So how do you utilize the full 16tb? I'm guessing a 2-4way hdd enclosure? I'm just wondering , I don't need that much. I am just curious, because I'm new to this external hdd stuff.

I think the only way to get the full 16tb would be to use four different hard drive enclosures and four 4tb drives. (I think?) You could only have two connected at once though.

Keep in mind that if you get a bare drive and enclosure separate, make sure you get an enclosure that will recognize your drive. Many external enclosures won't recognize huge hard drives. Get one that will specifically recognize yours. The one I linked
to will recognize a 4tb drive.

Good luck.

7200rpm External HDD?
I am a collector/gamer so I will have many games. I have over 150for my 360, and I want to be prepared with storage for a large X1 collection as well.
Without getting too exorbitant, a pair of 4TB or 5TB USB 3.0 drives
should be enough. There are larger, but the $/GB isn't in their favor.

To go to 8TB or larger over a single USB connection requires an intelligent enclosure that can RAID the drives together and present them as one large volume over USB. There are several enclosures that can do that (the Drobo 5D comes to mind), but I don't
personally know if they work consistently as plain USB storage when presented to the console.

6. Asking is usually faster, and you get just the basic information needed to get by without searching 24internet pages and 30 paragraphs. So what I'm saying is I like an abridged answer.

Ceased,

I'm sorry, but I don't feed trolls, so if you're looking for attention, please go look some place else.

Thank you,

The Seagate 4TB External drive is 7200rpm.

There is a version of this that runs at 5400 but the one on Amazon is 7200rpm.

Here is the latest Segate External Drive which is 5TB:

www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_1

It doesn't say but it is probably running at 7200 rpm.

As people have already mentioned above 5400 is gonna work fine for you and much like the 1080p and 60FPS arguments if it wasn't for the internet it's rare you'd actually notice the difference.

I'd take a quality brand's 5400 drive over a no-name 7200 any day of the week.
