    7 years later and I'm still reporting the same bugs over and over again


    I did a clean install of Windows 10 earlier in the week. After doing so, I ran Windows update, fired up the Store and checked for app updates, and installed what was found.

    I then installed the Xbox app, but straight away, it did not work properly. When friends sent me messages, I got no notifications. When I launched the app, I could see the messages there, but no notifications popped to alert me to them. When using other apps, like Discord, notifications worked fine.

    This isn't the first time this has happened, as I've had notification issues with the console itself, SmartGlass, the original Xbox app, the Xbox Console Companion app, and now the all new Xbox app. Often things work fine, but sometimes, and sometimes for extended periods, they don't, and there's no rhyme or reason to it.

    At what point will the basic features work consistently? Do you have any plans to make that happen any time soon?

    Me and my friends who spent a lot of money on Xbox consoles, games, subscriptions, and accessories, would love to know.

    Yeah, thats what I thought. still it did well over the 7 years compared to having to send back 3 xbox 360s over the years.

    Now its weighing up the cost of a potential repair vs the cost of getting a 2nd hand one to see me through to the series x later in the year
