7 Days To Die.. Lol.

Picked this up, because its super cheap. Didn't really know much about it (yup shame on me)

Probably one of the worst games I've ever played lol.

For one it seems pretty broken, frame rate is terrible, freezes every few min.

And even when it works, its just the most boring unfun game in my opinion. Good idea, very poorly executed.

Moral of the story, if your interested. Might want to rethink that decision lmao.

Is this in Single Player or are you attempting Multiplayer?

It's a survival horror crafting game... is this after an annoying 15 minutes or have you given it a good go?

Not poking at what you've said. Just wanting to get a clearer impression as the Wife and I were interested in this.

 

I've pre ordered it. Watched a few vids and looked around the forum. I'm hoping it's kind of a Minecraft meets Ark kind of thing. I watched a guy previewing it o the Xbox yesterday and he said the graphics and framerates are bad. I'm hoping the gameplay
and content is good though. It's only £28 in the UK. I will see how I get on Friday as it's not out til the 1st here.

 

If you were expecting a polished zombie encounter you're probably better off with the updated "Dead Island" offering.

The graphics are sacrificed for the sheer amount of stuff you're supposed to be able to do in the world.

Or at least that's what they say.

It does appear to be something more along the lines of an "Ark" meets "Minecraft" meets "Walking Dead". Will be keeping an eye on it.

What confuses me is that they say it's a "Preview Game"... but it's being sold as a Disc version?

 

i am having a blast with this game and have been a fan for awhile, it might not be the most optimized game but its gameplay makes up for it. give it some time and get past day 7 and tell me its boring hahahaha, btw hmu if u wanna play

 

I tried to get into it, put a good 5 or 6 hours into it even.

Just couldn't. Lmao.

I love minecraft, and I love zombie survival games but they just kind of over complicated the whole crafting system in my opinion. Combat was pretty terrible and just cheesy imo.

I'd definitely suggest something like Dead Island or ARK over this, they are both in the same price range.

 

I have this game as well, and I'm not enjoying it as I do ARK. I know it's a preview game, so it needs some work

 

Ugly game compared to most other things you'll find on the ONE.

But where all the good stuff comes in the gameplay.

You have to be able to accept that the game looks as awful as 'State Of Decay" but if you are prepared to accept that then you a survival treat.

I spawned naked and afraid in some sort of rural area... took a few steps forward and started rummaging through trash and abandoned cars.

There was a house in the distance and I thought it would make for good shelter.

I walked around the front porch and saw the bear... that's when it saw me.

And as quickly as it had begun... my adventure was over and if it taught me one single lesson that would be... avoid the bear.

After that it respawned me in a more frendly area (due to an absence of bears) and I found a better house, started to get to grips with the tutorial missions and understand how the menus and actions worked.

Clothing, shelter, food, drink, protection, weapons all become your main obsession in this remarkably deep survival session.

Good fun with a lot more depth and variation than you might realise from first impressions.

Mrs Azrael is starting to enjoy herself now that she's getting to grips with the menus and crafting as well.

It's easily a Zombie Apocalypse to be enjoyed with the other half.

 

State of Decay is an ugly game, but it's a million times better than this. I was watching a stream and it looked boring. Why play this when games like Dying Light are out. There are a million other survival games out there. Unless this stands out it doesn't
stand a chance.

 

if you've played and enjoyed "Minecraft" then you can understand what makes this game not only fun but rather addictive.

Mrs Azrael and I sat down to play and before we knew it hours had gone by.

The devil is in the detail... and the fun is in the detail too.

"Dying Light" is beautiful and well made... but somehow is lacking that depth but it's kind of missing something. Not sure what. Doesn't really grab you and hold you. Maybe "Zombie Apocalypse" has been overdone and is losing it's appeal.

The Re-Mastered "Dead Island" looks amazing, has you scavenging and building and making simulated supply runs adds to the sense of surviving.

This is much uglier but also much deeper since your supply runs are actual supply runs as you have to manage your hunger and your thirst.

If you love "Minecraft" then despite looking rough round the edges you might really enjoy this Zombie twist.

 

I'm not really into Minecraft. My son is enamoured with it though. I do like games with supply runs so maybe I'll watch it some more and decide.

 

This is a fun game to play with others.

There was a dog on telly today and it made my wife think of a house she unwisely rushed into and found herself having to beat up a dog with her bare hands yesterday.

Mrs Azrael loves Minecraft but to the point that it's all she wants to play. Thankfully I found "Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition" and this to amuse her enough that she can get stuck into these and I can get a break from the blocks.

I suspect your son isn't old enough to be playing this. If he really does like the Minecraft and you really like the co-op then you really should check out the Battle Game update they made. A buddy of mine at work has this and he and his son have a blast
playing together.

If it's local coop I'd say this one for the Missus and Minecraft Battlefields for the boy.

 

The battle mode is cool. He'll go from PS3 to my Xbox One to the Mario skins on Wii U. He's too young for this game though. He's only turning 9 this month. I'll try to be responsible and make him wait til he's 17 or so to play games like this
