7.1 sound disabled, picture with tiny window

After the update I am no longer able to have 7.1 sound on my onkyo AV receiver. it had 7.1 multichannel before the update. I have tried power off and on. I have tried setting it to 5.1 which works fine.. if I set it back to 7.1 it stays at 5.1. Dolby worked
fine. Dolby 7.1 plus does not as it's only 5.1.

I also find that every now and again I get a very small picture in the middle of the TV, I can get it back to normal if I set it to 1080P again. it does this on its own I think it might be to do with the auto detect feature. this used to work fine.

as it stands I can live without the 7.1 even though it should work, however the tiny screen in the middle of the screen is bad.

Is there a way to revert back to previous version, if not I will sell the xbox one and stick with PS4, shame...

sound and display

I turned on my x box 360 today to discover there was no sound? I could not work out why as nothing had changed since last use. Checked all wires and connections. Then as recommended I disabled the display discovery, and it seemed to work, until I bought
a film, now it says 'secure HDCP link not found' it continues to play the film with no picture. So if the display discovery is enabled I have picture no sound, and if it is disabled I have sound, no picture :-(........I can however watch and hear trailers....WTF?.....please
help....

What is your setup?

Panasonic plasma 50"

Yamaha rx-v761 7.1 surround sound

@hit - you setup doesn't make sense. You claim 7.1 but with 12 speakers? 7.1 is 7 speakers plus sub.

Sorry you are having issues. There is not an option to go back to the previous dashboard. This is the dashboard Microsoft will be using going forward. As you know, it is a new dashboard and although I haven't heard anything official I am confident that
Microsoft will be releasing patches in the near future to address the issues.

I already have the expensive Tritton headphones. Headphones are boring. Big speakers is where its at. Not the tiny little tweeters in the 7.1 systems.

There are the normal rumors of a Blu-ray drive for a 360. That would be the biggest push for 7.1 sound. I doubt games will be made to support 7.1 sound.

Having 7.1 sound isn't a "problem" per se. Just because you're not making use of it now doesn't mean you won't be able to with a future device.

did you change it to 7.1 in the ones settings? settings>display & sound>hdmi audio 7.1.
