7.1 headsets which are best? also can you add an external sound card?

can you connect an external sound card like the sennhieser gsx 1000 to the Xbox s to get 7.1 if not is there a way to do it, also I'm looking for headsets that are compatible and give 7.1 if the sound card is not an option.

How does 7.1 soround sound works on xbox one?

This particular matter has been on my mind for quite a while, actually ever since i got an xbox one i was thinking about getting a soround sound headset for it but i found out that unfortunately xbox one does not support usb headsets ( big bummer !! ) and
the supportable number of headsets on xbox one are quite a few ! So i just ended up buying a sterio headset instead, actually i've been working with 7.1 headsets in the past and now i realize sterio ones are not nearly accurate as 7.1 headsets !

Basically i've been thinking about buying a logitech g633 and it seems they only work with 3.5 mm on xbox one and as you may know the only way to use 7.1 capability on headsets is by usb or a seperate sound card( or processor or watnot). Now i've been thinking
how exactlly can i use the 7.1 feathure of this headset on xbox one? Can i use an external sound card on xbox one and plug the headset to the sound card? Does xbox one even supports sound cards?

Gaming Headset

Astro A50. Wireless 7.1 headphones, great sound, excellent comfort, and battery last about 8 hours.
They are retailing for $300, but you can go on Amazon and get a refurbished set for $200 and you still get the full warranty (add at least a year to that if you use a credit card).
Also, did I mention that the A50 was voted the best gaming headset on Kotaku/Gizmodo?

Unfortunately, no you can't connect an external sound card to the Xbox One, however you could set up a home theater and have the sound going through that to a 7.1 headset, but you won't be able to use chat if you do it that way. However, usually 5.1/7.1
headsets are not of the best quality when it comes to surround sound emulation, though the Astro A50's are about the best that you can get, though they are a pretty expensive headset, roughly $200-300 depending on where you get them. Usually your best bet
is to go with a decent - high quality stereo head set, the Kingston Hyper X is a pretty decent quality sound, http://tinyurl.com/zx2sq8l, and its pretty inexpensive.

There are several GREAT options. The 5.1 / 7.1 headset are normally in the $200+ AUD price range. (They will differ slightly depending on were you live. And i think (And know) that wired is better than wireless. You get a more crisp sound and you avoid
interference from pesky household appliances and phones ect.

Now,

I own a pair of Astro A40's. They are 7.1 surround sound and they come with an Astro 5.8 Mixamp which amplifies the sound and alows you to adjust ingame sound and Xbox party chat sound. These are you're top of the line headset going from $280 - $350. (It
is wired)

I believe the best 5.1 headset is the Tritton AXPROS. They will cost you about $229 AUD (Price will differ as i said before). They have really crisp sound and a great Dolby Digital Hub / Mixamp (whatever you wan't to call it)

If you wan't to go for cheaper stuff as in Stereo Headset which are -$100 bucks go for the SteelSeries Spectrum 5XB. Really great sound is one great feature which i will leave to Google to explain hahah.

Sometime around March this year Titton will be releasing their Officially Xbox 360 Branded (Paired with Microsoft on this one) line of headsets which will be in 7.1 / 5.1 and Stereo and they will be as Cheap as Chips. Hope this helped

As far as utilizing the 7.1 sound goes, I went the route of getting an Astro A50 wireless headset. It comes the necessary connections to make the sounds as high quality as possible. You also have the ease of it being wireless for the kids or animals ripping
through the house. I use it daily, I couldn't tell you if it's true 7.1, but there isn't a better sound on the market as far as a headset in my opinion.

I got a $3000 Yamaha/Polk 7.1 surround sound system that moves the house but it's nice to have a good set of cans that you can throw on when you can't blast surround sound but to be honest either one of those headsets I recommend will have better more realistic
sounding surround sound then even the best home theater systems but that's just my opinion.
