  1. 64G Sansdisk flashdrive does not quite work?

It seems to initialize saying 59.6G size, but always 0G available.

Inserting it first blinks, and then dim up and down as when working on PC.

Format is exFAT, so it should work in general.

I have other 16G flashdrives that work fine.

Is there a list of compatible flashdrives/disks?

    Thanks.

    :)

compatible drives are USB 3.0 that are greater than 250 gig. Yours is too small to use other than playing files and photos or doing a system update.

What are you selecting when you insert it because it would only work as a media drive.

  5. Thanks, but I don't expect to work other than as media drive.

But it does not recognize drive fully as that either - 0G available.

It's more than 59G available look from a pc.

The 16G drive I used, was also as media drive - but showed available space and works fine.

  7. Thank you, no luck what I do - it says 0G free of 59.6G.

Just plugin it in, after that reboot - it does not matter.

It shows as a device D: but says 0G free and obviosly does not understand format somehow.

I even put mp3 files on there - but says nothing on drive.

So it does not recognize content somehow.

Model is Sandisk Cruzer Slice 64G.

Works fine on PC as well as DVD-players I have for playing media from usb.

Gotcha, thanks for letting me know. If you've gone through the troubleshooting and have tried the different USB ports, then it sounds like the flash drive is likely not compatible with the Xbox One console. From our research, it appears that the 64GB flash
drive you are attempting to use is USB 2.0. As per the article I linked above, you'll need a USB 3.0 device for optimal results.

Hopefully that clarifies. 64G Sansdisk flashdrive does not quite work? :)

  10. Thanks, but it does not clarify anything.

Doubt to do with usb 3 or not, since other devices I have are usb 2 and work fine.

Speed, yes it affects but good enough for purpose of holding media and I hope eventually saving game clips and not needing to use up internet bandwidth for that moving to pc video editor.

I think I read that 360 could read max 32G flash drives, but not sure. I have one on my 360 for both game and media, but afraid X1 will reformat inserting it.

If MS decide to look into it and be upwards compatible, just let me know if I can help in any way.

  11. I checked my 360 32G flash drive - Sandisk Extreme usb 3.0 - and it does not even initialize on X1.

I rebooted as well to be sure.

    Works fine on 360.
