6 year old running up bills

Please can anyone help me as it seems I cannot speak to a real 'person' at Microsoft about this.

My 6 year old has merrily run up over £120 on my credit card using virtual credit on Robux and a Star Wars game, without knowing it was costing us real money. I'm annoyed that it's so easy to do. The problem is as it was my credit card, I've only just spotted
it, way too late for the 14 day refund policy. Surely this is a common problem, how do I go about getting a refund?

You will be asked a few questions and Order Numbers that are in the Emails you have received with the purchases and the Xbox Support Team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for coming to the forums, I'd be happy to provide you with some information regarding billing on the Xbox One.

Anytime you add a credit card to a Microsoft account, the credit card will save onto your billing information for future purchases. There are various ways a parent can prevent a child from misusing the credit card that is saved on the account after being
added.

First way would be to remove the card from the account entirely after each use. That can be done from the console and account.microsoft.com under the Payments and Billing settings. The second way would be to set up a 6 digit passkey under the account security
settings from the Xbox One console. Once the passkey is set up, you can set it to be required anytime a purchase is attempted or account settings are accessed. You can find all of the information from these support articles:

Another way is to create your own adult Microsoft account and set up a Family to then invite your child's account as a child account so that you can then set up parental controls when trying to make purchases. Here is information on how to set that up:

Last way would be to remove the credit card from the account and going forward you can buy gift cards for your child that are sold at participating retailers and have them redeem credit on their account to spend how they like.

Did you set his account as a child account? That would have saved all of the issues as he would of had to ask permission to spend anything

You would still submit a refund request. Even if denied, you can reply to the email you receive denying the request
to get in touch with the refund specialists.
