6 week old Xbox One broke

    6 week old Xbox One broke


    Black screen of death.

    When I switch it on, it sits on a black screen. Controller doesn't even connect. No, it's not the HDMI connection or the TV. If I wait 45 mins, SOMETIMES it moves to the green Xbox screen, but doesn't go beyond that.

    More frustrating is that it is impossible to contact Xbox support. Every single issue I select in the drop down is met with the message "phone and chat is unavailable for that issue".

    It's crazy. I have a 6 week old Xbox One, that doesn't work. And I can't contact anyone to let them know I want a refund or a replacement. Awful customer service.

    Hey, when it is stuck on the black/green screen, try this

    Please go to this page https://t.co/iK8z3rA0uo and select the option "I Need to Troubleshoot A System Update Error" Then your console version, then "I Am Experiencing A Startup Issue". Then "Black Screen/green screen" (whichever you are experiancing). Follow

    I am so sorry to hear about your Xbox One Console, the best option for you is to send the console to Microsoft for repair, now i know at the moment this is slightly diffcult because of the current global pandamic, however i am sure Microsoft is still repairing
    Xbox One's as it does not specifiy otherwise on their site, please follow these instructions:

    1. Go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/browse

    2. Once on this site go to the Warranty & service section.

    this will give you all of the options needed, please note you will need to register your console with the serial number on the console with Microsoft on your account, this can be done by:

    1. Go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/register-your-product

    2. Once on the site click register your device.

    this will tell you how to register your device if it is not already, please note you will need to be signed in for both of these.

    there is a chance (Now i can not confirm this) that Xbox support is not using phone lines due to the current pandamic, however if you do need to contact Xbox support i would advice to try and use the web chat as you will probably have more luck with this.

    You can still request a Warranty Service Request if you go to the Device service and replacement page. If your console was linked to your account it will show up in the list, if not, then click register new device. After entering the serial number of your
    console it will automatically show up and the status of your warranty. If it's out of warranty they can still fix it for a fee.
