6 million+

Well....looks like they finally smashed the 5,930,609 target that the Xbox 360 hit in it's first year of global sales from 22nd November 2005 to 22nd November 2006.

If the tireless hard working folk over at VGChartz can be given some credit.....as of 18th October 2014 the Xbox One has sold 6,113,498 units globally (to actual consumers) with exactly 5 weeks left on the clock until 22nd November 2014 (from the date of
the 18th that is).

Well PS4 sales just hit 6 million so Microsoft definitely needed that sales boost from this exclusive.

That's a decent start, for sure.

Looks like the Xbox One I'm buying on Black Friday for my nephews' Xmas present will be counted in next year's numbers, then.

 

Not trying to be negative, but they should have surpassed the 360's numbers. The 360 built up about 75 million or so. If at least 6 million didn't upgrade I'd say there was a problem.

Also the competition has more than doubled the X1 according to those charts.

 

Some of my friends have expressed interest in getting an Xbox 1 over the new year period (for now they're stuck on 360). One of them who in his bio said he was not getting a 1 but PS4. And guess what, I've seen him regularly playing on Xbox 1 for the last
few weeks. Forza, Titanfall. Actually one of my Xbox friends got an Xbox 1 this week too. Xbox 1 is a better system than what it came out with since Launch, more games and monthly system updates bringing back missing features from 360. I would consider Xbox
360 and Xbox 1 at least, *among the best 7th gen and 8th gen gaming consoles*. It's a big hit and a great hobby. Anyone who doesn't know what Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 is, has been living in a cave. So it must mean Xbox is still a successful brand.

 

Great news done better than xbox 360.now lets see in 3/4 years how many more units they sell.I know my friends are planning on upgrading

 

I feel this is more of a troll post and you mocking this xbox one Rubix then you praising it. so what 6million ah well its selling and gamers are happy

 

6 million sold is a very healthy number if you take into account all the negativity that the X1 has had since E3 2013, I am glad I got the xbox one on day of release.

 

6 million.... that's more than the total population of New Zealand, more than the population of Sydney city Australia, more than the population of Melbourne city Australia.

That sounds like an alright figure for a console which won't be 12 months old until 22/11/2014. More and more of my friends are considering getting an Xbox 1 or have gotten an Xbox 1. About 15 of my friends from 360 have an Xbox 1. During November/December
last year, it was something like only 3 of my friends from 360 had an Xbox 1.

Xbox 360 only sold 6 million units first year,without any "next gen" competitors,no major games releases and with RROD ( no refund/replacement).....And didn't support (original) Xbox.

With Xbox one, Microsoft is doing a better job,on a smaller market for mostly a year....

 

As long as Xbox keeps doing what it's doing, I don't really care how many they sell. Some might say those two things are connected, but whatever.

 

Has anyone looked at their Manufacture date on the XB1? Mine is September 2013, No idea why I'm bringing this up but I noticed while I was moving it.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear we've hit more then 6 million, it was going to happen eventually.

 

Can you play sales numbers? If you can is it at 1080p?

Until EA, Ubisoft, Activision, Bethesda, Square Enix, R*, Take-Two, WB, drop support for Xbox One, I dont really care how many units it sells. Not sure why anyone else would either besides stockholders. And even stockholders shouldnt be concerned when MS
is posting $23 billion in revenue projections for a quarter. Compared to other companies who are losing Billions each year but their consoles sell well.
