6 digit code needed for Xbox app.

From how it's looking, you may have to contact support about this because from looking up the issue to even following the "Guides" on the support site, most are either old information or not what you're looking for (I.E. Xbox Card Code). You can contact

Yeah, both are same in the same network, and I have used that method to add my Xbox to the app, but, the moment to use it to install games, and other functions of the app, it asks me for the 6 digit or 10 digit code.

There's no way to get past it other than put the code on it.

So what do I do?

It could be the 2FA (two factor authentication).

If you have 2FA activated on you account, you will be asked for a code when you logon from a new unit. When you log on to live on your app, a box should pop up, asking you if you want the code sent to your email or phone.

Check here: account.microsoft.com to check that you have the correct email and phone number setup.

Is your Console & your device (Phone or computer) connected on the same network? Because if it is, you should be able to see it within the "Connect to your Xbox One" prompt.

To view this:

1. Obviously go to the console section where you're at.

2. Click the console prompt in the corner of the screen (Screenshot included

3. Select the "Connect to your Xbox One" prompt (Screenshot
here).

4. Click the console on the network and connect to it (Screenshots included
here).

If you cannot find the specific device and need to enter your consoles IP address:

1. Go to Settings, and then general, then Network settings.

2. Scroll down and click the "Advanced settings" tab.

3. The IP address listed under "IPv4" is your devices IP address which you can use to find the app.
