6.8 g Update for Killer Instinct is a JOKE.

Actually it's good seeing this game getting constantly updated and looks promising for the season 2 next year as still in the works. It was a long overdue addition of an actual story mode but like most of this Next-Gen so far...alot of things were rushed
for a new timeline thanks to MS.

I have Quantum running at 46 DL and 38 UL and it still takes a while to download updates from 3-6 gb...roughly 15-20 minutes. I think it depends more on your time zone and the amount of traffic trying to update at the same time. With that kind of speed,
you'd think my WWE app would have ran smooth as butter during Wrestlemania the other night...it sucked!!

 

My broadband speed is about 4MB, so roughly it takes me 2 hours to download an update lol.

 

those complaining should enable "instant on" mode so that these updates happen automatically.

 

it helps when you're away and any updates get applied ya know.

 

I've got my Xbox One set up as 'Instant-On' but it doesn't seem to download the updates for some reason.

 

Mine was set to intant on and was already downloading when I started the console, but it was only at 20% at the time (which means it actually took longer than 2 hours). Of course, because I was sitting there in the middle of the night bored out of my mind
and unable to play my game, I went looking for something else to do, like watching YouTube videos (which in retrospect may have slowed down the DL even more, but at least I had something to do in the meantime).

 

Hmmm, I just played TF as it downloaded and lost track of how long it took. It was ready to start soon enough so the wait wasn't bad at all. There has to be plenty of other things to do while waiting for something to download lol.

 

True,usually i don't even notice that something is download (or has been).Just when i take a look at my games & apps section.Surprise.

Is it still showing the game as total size of 6.8gb? I got nothing new looking on the menu when I started the console and then had to reboot the console just to get the discs to read that I actually owned the games?? It seems like everytime there is an
"update", you have to do a manual reboot to get things working again...

 

My games work just fine after every update but the only physical game I own is AC4. The size value on KI didn't update last I checked.

 

They must love spamming you with updates. I think it's an Aprils Fools Joke ^^. Updates are annoying and numerous whether you own an Xbox 360, Xbox 1, or PC. But it is clear Xbox 1 games do have larger update file sizes than we're use to with Xbox 360. Remember
it carries a lot of HD data.

 

I have a 10 down and 1/2 up so my downloads should really be going faster than they do. I uninstalled this last night along with the Titanfall Beta (I forgot I had that on lol) so I don't got to worry about the download. There's still a few games I need
to update though so I will likely do that today when I update Forza just to get up to speed. Deacon I think I might just switch to instant on.

 

I don't understand why people keep Instant On turned off. Updates are only going to continue getting bigger. The Xbox One isn't the only platform guilty of this.
