  1. 5ghz wifi will not connect to Series X

I have been having issues with my 5ghz wifi on the series x. I want to use the 5ghz one because my 2.4ghz lags on most games. However, my 5ghz never takes my password and always says it is wrong. I know this isn't true because I have had it work before on the series x and my phone. Is there any fix for this?

Xbox Series X doesn’t connect to 5ghz wifi

    Hello Clackers01,

Welcome to the Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well. Let me see how I can assist you with this concern.

However, we’d like to know more about it in details so that we can provide a more accurate resolution for you.

    • Have you tried connecting directly to the Wifi of the Modem?
    • Are you detecting the network from the booster?
So far, from the details you provided, you can try the following steps and let us know the result. You can just skip those you have done already.

Perform the troubleshooting guide from this article: Troubleshoot your Xbox network connection | Xbox Support

Turn off your Booster or Access point

Try connecting directly to the Wifi being broadcasted by your Modem and see if it connects or not.

Let us know the result and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We may recommend further troubleshooting steps once we have received your answers to the above questions.

Xbox Live shows as not connected when internet is connected

If i assume you mean that you are on the 5Ghz wifi i would suggest that you try the 2.4Ghz wifi as the 5Ghz is faster but has less wifi Quality in my opinion.
Sadly the 2.4 Ghz doesnt pop up and my basic wifi doesnt connect at all, so im stuck on the 5Ghz, which is where i have the problems.

    Internet Problems

The Xbox 360 internal wireless adapters do not support 5Ghz wifi bands, only 2.4Ghz.

The Black Xbox 360 external N wifi adapter supports 5Ghz.

5Ghz may support higher bandwidth (only helpful for LAN transfers and fiber/gigabit connections) but 2.4Ghz has more range.
