500gb hdd for 360

    I was wondering how I would go about transfering my data from the 320gb hdd to the 500gb hdd and the xbox 360 I have is the MW3 edition

    Brako, they are selling the 500GB HDD for the 360 separately now, thinking of picking one up myself.

    500gb hdd for 360

    You just need a data transfer cable

    This shows it being used on the older style HDD, but it also works with the S style HDDs

    ok thanks I already have that somewhere. So do I need to put the new one in then transfer it or do it before putting in the new hdd

    If you scroll down when viewing the above link, there are detailed instructions on how to transfer data.

    Basically, put your new HDD in your console, connect your old HDD to your console with the transfer cable and then follow the on screen instructions.
