    500 $ to replace a console ?


    Hey everybody !

    I have some trouble with my Xbox One (a grinding noise when I insert a Disc game) and I would like to replace it. So are we compelled to have 500$/euros on a bank account to make a replacement ? Or can we just have roughly 100/200 $ ?

    Is anyone really gonna pay $500+ for a locked down DRM machine

    Replace the "M" in "DRM" with a "3" and you will get the reason why i'm willing to spend $500+ in November.

    support.xbox.com/.../warranty-faq that link gives you the rundown. If you choose the advanced exchange you have to provide a credit card and yes they
    will put a 500$ hold on your card to insure you send in the defective unit. You won't be charged so long as you send it in.

    Standard repair: Microsoft will provide a shipping label for you to use to send your console or sensor to the service center. Once the product is repaired, we'll ship it back to you. This might be the better option for you.

    Alright VASHTA NER4DA ! Thank you ! Yes I'll see, but I have already sent my Xbox to be repraired but the issue came back, so I want to replace it.

    Disc Drive Problem

    There is no fix. You need to ship your console back. I did an advanced replacement. tHey are putting a hold for 500 dollars on my account, shipping me a replacement and than I'm shipping mine back.

    Wrong forum... honestly the free game promotion started before any such patch existed--which is news to me that one exists--and was to compensate people for A.) Having to charge $500 to a credit card to have the replacement console shipped to them and B.)
    The fact that the console was broken on day one when no replacements were available in stores.
