    $50 on my European account!!


    Hi. I bought a $50 gift card for my brother. He's got a European account so he couldn't redeem the

    code so I tried to redeem it through the website (I've got a US region). Now his account shows

    that it has no Euros but $50 dollars. How can he use that money on his European account?

    It's also a fact that the console should be able to deal with European TV standards (50 Hz). Live TV and DVDs are all jerky for us Europeans.

    So is it coming or not?

    Currency is linked only to the country it was originally intended for. Your brother can only use that money if his account were set to the country the currency was purchased from.

    when redeeming a code on xbox.com it uses a billing Profile with the Region set on xbox.com, you most likely will have used
    Xbox | Games and Entertainment on All Your Devices -> us billing Profile, Dollars are valid

    the 50$ will not expire and wait for a day when your brother moves to united states, changes his Region accordingly and then spends them for purchase

    New volume up/down increments - where?

    There's 2 settings in troubleshooting, video and audio, video you can set 50 hz for european users and in audio you can set the volume increments.

    About the region lock that your brother said is about PALM games, usually European games run at 50hz, unlike NTSC that run at 60hz, but it is quite rare to find games that are not 60hz, usually all games released they are 50/60 hz even though they are European games.
