5 weeks and counting...still no minecraft discount

I've been an XBL member for a decade now. i have never been more annoyed at an issue like this, 5 weeks ago minecraft XO released promising discount for those who had it on x360...and yet here i am still waiting for the discounted price. i downright refuse
to pay full RRP. This is very disappointing from a service i had trusted for a decade.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I might try for another supervisor when I place my weekly call next Monday. I just cannot believe that they refuse to bump me back to the top of the heap, or even tell me where I currently am in the heap. The 3 week delay was
THEIR fault, not mine. And the story about not being able to contact the investigation team is hogwash, and everyone knows it.

Hi Elmo Man, Sorry to hear your having problems getting Minecraft at the discounted price. I can see from your profile, that you have recently played Minecraft on the xbox 360, If the game is the digital version, then try redownloading it to the xbox 360,
that might help the system notice that you own the game. Then while the xbox one is turned on, power cycle it (hold power button for 8 seconds)then try to buy the game for the xbox one. Let us know if the discounted price shows up. If it doesn't, then your
only option might be to phone xbox support, so they can fix the issue for you.

 

You had to have bought it on that account. Was the 360 version on a different account.

 

you also have to have an online savegame to your profile

 

I have tried everything under the sun to get my X1 to register the discounted price, I don't understand why. All my friends got it straight away, and I'm still sitting here waiting, as i reuse to pay full price again. I'm heavily disappointed nothing has
fixed it.

 

Hey there, Elmo Man! Very sorry to see that this promotion hasn't propped on your account yet! I do see that you have your Minecraft 360 Edition achievements at 100% on your
account's profile here. Rock on!

I've noticed that all of these were gained back in 2012. I'd like to confirm with you something. Have you played the game since about August of this year? The 360 version had a title update added to it around then that will essentially tag your account to show
the $4.99 price for Minecraft Xbox One Edition. In order to see the reduced price, you had to have launched it since then.

If you have the digital version of it, this is generally quick. If you had the disc version of the game that you no longer own, though, would make this a bit more difficult.

Post back with what I'm requesting, and we can see where to go from here!

 

Hey, I actually replayed it last Saturday (1/11/14) or (11/1/14) as I tried re-downloading the whole game on the 360 in attempt to get it to register so I would assume I have the necessary TU.

and it is indeed the digital version of the game.

If you did, could you check commerce.microsoft.com for the purchase for me? You should be able to hit "view transactions" on the main page after you sign in to this account. You can change the "View From" date
to the year you started your account, and should be able to see all purchases. Once we confirm it there, we'll look into next steps.

I do appreciate you looking into this deeper with me. I am very sorry to see that it's been this long, but I do hope we're able to get you that promotion!

 

I did indeed, i went to purchase history on the Xbox 360 settings? menu to re-download without paying again.

i am unable to find it in the purchase history on the stated website. i got minecraft on the release.

My account was based in the UK when i bought it, and i switched it over to AUS in may of 2013 i think.

this may be where the problem arises.

 

Well, that's really odd, Elmo Man! You should definitely be able to see that on the commerce site if you can download it in your download history! I agree, the region migration may be where the issue lies.

Although the X360 version is still not appearing on my purchase history, given my achievements i obviously have it. i was credited with the appropriate amount to purchase it on the martketplace.
