5 month Warranty? Or one year? Broken xbox right after warranty expires

It should he a one year warranty, many companies use the manufacturing date for their warranties when there is no proof of purchase. Then they revert to the proof of purchase date if you have one. Loke the other ambassadors have mentioned you just need
to contact support to verify your proof of purchase.

If you live in the UK you get 1 year manufacturing fault warrenty. Take the reciept to the shop you bought it from and tell them the issue

Did you register it onto your account on the Microsoft website? If you put in the details it will tell you when the warrenty really will run out

Another thing you can do on the support page is go to the warranty center and have them contact you or contact them yourself and they can actually look to see when the first time your consoles used I just recently had a similar issue with a controller
and they were able to check the activation date
