5 games took 250 gig of space is it normal?

I have the below games downloaded on xbox one.

Assassin creed Unity ( digital download)

Assassin Creed Black Flag ( digital download)

Dance Central ( digital download)

Forza Horizon ( via disc)

sports rival ( via disc)

These games have consumed 250 GB of 500 GB hard disc on xbox one. is this normal?.

320 GB Drive for $129.00

I have a 250 gig and it is more than enough for me. I installed all of my games and still have plenty of space. IMHO 320 gigs is overkill.

 

Hard drive showing wrong amount of space.

My Xbox 360 has a 250 gig hard-drive, however I can only use about 14 gigs. I understand some space is set aside for the system software, but I ought to have more than 14 gigs of useable space shouldn't I?

 

The Xbox One OS requires 136.4 GB of the 500 last I checked, so I'm not sure if you're accounting for that or not, but yes, everything you described is normal.

 

A 500gb isn't going to be 500gb as the first thing, more like 465gb in actual usable space.

Then Elite hits it spot on, you are losing a large slice of that space to the operating system.

500gb doesn't go a long way in this day and age.

I would seriously suggest investing in a USB 3 external hard drive for your console if you aren't the sort to be deleting all the time.

Yeah that's normal op. You got a few 40 GB games which take such a big chunk. I only have about 15 games installed atm and I've had to uninstall other to make room. 35 games? Those must be all crappy cheap arcade games.

 

Most are indy game.most don't take over 10 gig.

 

You don't get the full 500gb drive there a chunk reserved for the the system you get about 320gb

 

A couple of the games are over 40GB but haven't seen one over 50

I have a 1TB USB 3.0 hard drive that I had for my old laptop. I hooked it up to my X1 and it works perfect. I still have 1,000GB free!

That is until I buy some games tomorrow lol!

 

Yeah, the console has around 360GB of free space out of the box, so assuming your comment is based on having 250GB of space left, then the games have taken up around 110GB which is about right.

 

I thought it was around 460 GB out of the box?

 

Actually you only have about 360GB free for games chums.
