Regarding Mircosoft Pionts BeIng Change To Local Currency

They will continue to sell cards in dollar amount just like they do with Microsoft Points. The changing to local currency eliminates microtransactions for credit card users though.

Can't use $5 gift card reward

Hi;

Xbox live sent me $5 gift card like 15 days ago. I live in Turkey so our currency is Turkish lira. I can't use dollar on my Xbox as you know mate. So can we exchange dat $5 gift card to Turkish lira gift card?

You can't send money account to account

No console supports that they aren't banks

They don't do currency changes.

Your friend would've needed to send a prepaid code for your region .from an etailer in your region

Hello again, this happens when you redeem a card that is not in US dollars, in which case the balance that appears on your account can be in Canadian dollars or in any other region that uses the dollar as currency, this happens because the Microsoft system distinguishes regions when it comes to account balance.

If its like Xbox currency or a gift card to a retailer, the balance should not expire. I had a 5 dollar card from the rewards system sit in my account for a few months before I used it.
