5 dollar code for joining live

I accidentally deleted a message from xbox live with a code 5 dollar credit for starting a gold membership. Is there any way I can get this code back??? You can't tell me there is no way to retrieve a message when it is one click delete.

ya my brother got one as well but I never did gt:. And my Xbox gold ran out be 48 hour code trail I saved from re 7 is not working that 5 bucks would help me alot

 

I mean even if the message can't be retrieved, wouldn't it be possible to see that I signed up for live while the promotion was valid, and have not since redeemed said code???
